I don't think Nintendo will go under just because of a retarded system name.
They should have kept it the Revolution, but they didn't. Can't do anything about it. But the games aren't gonna be retarded. So I wouldn't write off nintendo just because they have no style when naming things.

System names never were popular at first. I mean Nintendo isn't a great example of this, but in the business it seems like the worse the name, the better the system does in the market.

I still wonder where "Wii" came from. As I've heard, it is just a made up word. Now, though, I don't have to worry about pronouncing the "r" in remote. I can call it a Wii-mote!

When they announced the new name I thought Nintendo was done for. Now Iam sure they are gonna sell tons of Wii's.

A bit more detail on the caricature program we saw used on Wii Sports in Nintendo's E3 confernce. It seems like it will be in the hardware itself and will be used on other software.

Trailer for the new Pokemon Battle Revolution and the real time graphics look utterly astounding, completely above what we saw at E3. Especially take note of some of the nice additions like background damage when Groundon fires off a Hyper Beam.

This actually seems to tie in with ATI's recent statement of the Wii still being finished.

Nintendo does tend to downplay the graphical power of thier systems, right up until launch. This really ought to be in the other thread, though.
