Kämpfer's New Anime to Air Next March
"The wraparound jacket band on the fifth volume of Yû Tachibana and Toshihiko
Tsukiji's Kämpfer manga has announced that a new anime will air on the Japanese television station TBS in March of 2011. The jacket band's text does not specify if the new anime is a series or not." See: http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news...o-air-in-march |

It's airing in March, which is not a normal time for new anime series to start. Think of something closer to the Hidamari Sketch OVAs.
(However, I am prepared to eat my own words at any time. I like being proven wrong.) Last edited by Midonin; 2010-12-21 at 16:55. |

Finally got around to watching this. It was surprisingly good. The girls were all a lot of fun and the voice acting was great, perfect casting too. I got a kick out of the voice acting jokes too.
But Natsuru is the most pathetic and stupid and dense male lead... ever! I mean, that whole date, even until the end.. ugh, before then it was funny and all but now it's just maddening. And there was still censoring, even on the BDs. Looks like waiting for them wasn't quite worth it. Naturally, Shizuku was the best. I think that is why Natsuru is so damn stupid actually. It wouldn't work if he caught on, otherwise we wouldn't have fun with Shizuku's advances and all. Good thing the anime is continuing though... the ending just... yeah.

It was good at times but yes, there were times when Natsuru was so dense I just had to stop watching and go swear to myself for a bit in frustration. Shizuku is my favourite and I can't say Kaede did much for me even at the start of the series before the SHTF. I'll watch the second season but I doubt we'll see anything resolved again.

Just finished it a few hours ago. Entertaining show, no doubt. Agree with all the above good/bad points that other members stated concerning this anime. Especially on Natsuru being the dumbest, if not almost retarded, male lead ever. Still having nightmares from that date in episode 8. The greatest redeeming factor of this show is Shizuku who is, by my humble opinion, a true image of a perfect woman.

Oh god please let there be a full second season. I for one really enjoyed how they just threw us for a loop with that weird ending and the sudden introduction of all those stereotype badguys (or girls). The tsundere one? Hilarious. And that song that played when they went super sayan, it was so weird and over the top and I just loved it. And more Shizuku focus, please. Give Natsuru a clue, too (I don't hate him though like everyone seems to). |

I don't 'hate' him either. More like, I hate his 'luck' and his 'denseness'. Natsuru really wasn't Shizuku's type, even though she wanted a genuine challenge of 'getting a man'. The first man who wouldn't fawn over her when she hadn't done anything - just HAAAAD to be Natsuru.
