I watched the subs, I can feel Kyon's anger building, much like anakin skywalker :P. I can't wait for a few more episodes, No Mikuru beam this episode, I expect it in the next one . 10/10, good episodes finally!

You get to see the kid who was with his mom watching them film the commercial? I thought it was all off-screen and I brought it up only because it's stated later that he saw Mikuru in the bunny costume while filming, which is only during the commercials and one other short scene before she goes to her room to change in the movie.

It's more like a his/hers match up rather than a superior/subordinate pairing that's making her smile.

Well, she always has had a real eye for aesthetic detail.

What this arc is really showing me is just how quickly she gets jealous of Kyon/Mikuru being attentive/nice to one another.

I didn't understand the bus fare thing, either. I played that scene three times trying to figure out why but failed to notice that it was the matching hoodies. I just played the scene again, and still can't really see it.

It's often very unclear, especially in the novels, whether Kyon is actually saying his thoughts out loud, whether he's not saying anything at all and his expression gives it away (the tree scene in Live a Live is a great example), or whether he is just mumbling to himself and Haruhi gets an inkling of it.

I think it's a creative way on Tanigawa's part to work the chemistry between Haruhi and Kyon through this unreliable narration. They seem to have insight into each other without always having to say anything. You notice how much Kyon actually does think about Haruhi, even if he doesn't seem to realize it himself. I've seen people doubting Kyon's feelings for Haruhi, but I think his constant remarks about her pouting her lips like a duck (among other animals) show it very well.

For added fun: Pretend Kyon actually says everything that isn't attributed to someone else. As in, he narrates his own life as it happens, out loud. And people wonder why Haruhi doesn't take the guy seriously, he's been rambling on about how Nagato's an alien for months. (Note: This obviously only applies to the novels.)
