There is going to be an event that will escalate a war between the five regions/city-states in Japan. Also, certain information will be leaked one way or another.

This kinda looks bad, this will probably force Rentaro, Enju, Tina, and Kisara flee Tokyo if a war between the remaining five city states break out. Of course, I think the author would want to make Enju suffer more before fully killing her off.

Also, the other four-city states that survived in the remnants of Japan are Osaka, Sendai, Fukuoka, and Hokkaido.

Spoiler for speculations:

I think the author will introduce a violent resistance force that is pushing for civil rights for the cursed children. They'll have the same goal with Seitenshi, but they are more willing to resort to violence and terrorism. When they heard about this situation going on, the resistance group realize that Seitenshi's peaceful means of pushing for the cursed children civil rights has failed and it's time for them to act.

Rentaro will probably will be forced to make a choice between joining the resistance group or fleeing Tokyo.

Seitenshi will lose political power in Tokyo and forced to flee (or get killed).

Other nations will probably get involved in the city-state wars in Japan (with nations supporting civil rights for cursed children through violent socialist change and revolution backing some city-states, nations that want genocide on cursed children for other city-states, and nations wanting a democratic equality and representation for the cursed children backing Tokyo).

A Malcolm-X type leader of the resistance group will be introduced (Yes, as much as Log comparing Rentaro to Malcolm X if Seitenshi is the MLK of the cursed children; Rentario isn't pragmatic and anti-heroic enough to fit into the Malcolm X bill). In an interesting twist that said Malcolm X type character used to be a childhood friend of Seitenshi before their views diverged away.

Rentaro will get called out for his altruistic hedonism, a.k.a. making others happy at the expense of his own happiness (probably either Enju if she founds out that she's slowly dying or turning into a Gastrea; or Kikunojō).

Well, there could be a bunch of angry Promotors and Initiators who are completely fed up with society treating the cursed children as trash and feel that the only way to bring justice and civil rights for the cursed children is through a violent rebellion (of course, I had a discussion with Log a few weeks ago and he thinks a violent rebellion would more or less backfire on the cursed children for some reason).

I'd call something like that the extreme minority and the majority of those would simply be like that dolphin girl and her promoter simply living their lives from the first volume. That's too small to even think of a rebellion.

Kouen is taking a break from the LN/manga crowd due to some RL stuff. He is gonna be low profile for x amount of time. All I can really say is send him best wishes and luck and may he be at peace with his decisions!

Regarding Ping, I have no clue. I just looked at his account at BT as well and I didn't see anything different. Granted, I have no contact with Ping besides from being an editor of Black Bullet ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

From the way vol 6 ended, it's doubtful the anime will end here. It's also doubtful they can cover 7 volumes or more even in 2-cours for a series like this. My guess is the anime will either be a 1-cour series covering 2 volumes or a 2-cour series covering 4 volumes.
