Junai/Ryoujoku made me feel disgust for the protagonsit by chapter 1. He's that much of a blathering idiot there, it's just... wow. I thought I'd seen a lot but he's special.

Neta Chara getting no depths was obvious early on.

But he was previously in a male only school and was just abandoned by his parents at the starting day of highschool. At the start of the novel he has for a month been going to school while money is running out and water, electricity going to stop etc. and can see no future for himself. So add to that his lonely childhood and his head is all kinds of fucked up as he is escaping reality by fapping all day every day to yukino. His stuttering and overall idiotism disappears pretty quickly into the story.

There are plenty reasons why, actually. Ranging from it satisfies some readers' wishes to be this powerful being that can do whatever he/she wants and get all the pretty girls or it's because the readers want to see whether it can improve later on or just want to see how bad it can get.

This novel got more than a thousand chapters yo, you don't think he's keep being that way for that long, right? Anyway, that blathering is fully cured by the 3rd day...

Yes, the psychological aspect and character growth are the main qualities of this novel, along with ero

even during the Yukino Rape arc, his growth is apparent...

Funny thing is, only low rating novels on nocturne is like that... those traits you mentioned actually more frequent appearing on those wish fulfillment novels on Narou...

I'm not into zombies. Bye. Oukoku he tsudzuku michi / Road to Kingdom... I felt no connection to the characters whatsoever. At least it seems to have a plot? Maou no Hajimekata / How to become a demon lord... was nice enough overall, if somewhat predictable. Yuusha ni shihai sareru sekai / The world ruled by the hero... was pretty good. Based on a nice idea, nice execution, but the sex is probably too extreme for most people's liking. Himekishi Classmate / The princess-knight is my classmate! A slave harem through otherworld-cheats ... I read it only a little before I got bored. Generic slavery/mind control/rape stuff, no redeeming features. Bishoujo wo umaku nikubenki ni suru houhou / How to skillfully turn pretty girls into fucksluts ... just no. Erodungeon Meister / ~~. The usual dungeon-building stuff with a particularly sick protagonist. Which made it morbidly interesting but... Careful. Sick. Isekai no otoko ha zenmetsu shita no you desu / looks like the men in another world died out... self-confessed rapist protagonist is less rapey than many, many others. Welcome to Japan! This one actually has a story, though... For those who care: The protagonist is OP and has a harem, yes. Junai/Ryoujoku Complex... gets talked about enough. Also, as above~~ Give me cheat... title plus "slaves" and "harem" tags should say it all. Maou no hadou / Demon Lord's Waves... pure fap material. No depth. Hitokui dungeon he youkoso - Welcome to the maneater dungeon... Interesting take on the dungeon-building genre and it actually has a plot. No OP protag, though, so I guess it's unsuitable for you guys. Shoukanjutsu no ikenai tsukaikata / How not to use summoning magic... protag dies, gets reborn as a summoner in a fantasy world. Summons 2 former classmates and rapes them until they fall in love with him. Then lets them get raped by a monster, reveals it was him in disguise and they love him even more. Yay? Suuchan to yakusou yuusha / Suu-chan and the medicine hero... no idea? The "Not erotic?" tag might hint at a plot-focus but I haven't read it enough to judge. Kakedashi programmer... discussed above/elesewhere. I skipped it anyway. Has the "harem" and "cheat" tags, but none of the evil ones. Paramete Remocon / Parameter Remote Control... the usual mind control stuff. Pure fap material, excuse of a plot, deus ex machina for any "problems" the moment they appear. You know the drill Kioku wo motta mama shougakusei ni modotte, harem wo tsuriageta kekka / The result of me returning to being an elementary schooler with my memories and making a harem... that title... skipped Neta Chara as above. Sekai no tame ni onna wo kudoke! / Hit on women for the sake of the world! ... in spite of the title I never got around to it. Maybe because all the tags are generic. ... what's with these stories that made them so popular?
