Yeah, you're probably right.

From a Doylist perspective, Mikoto's the 'first girl', plus she's overwhelmingly popular. From a Watsonian perspective, she's admitted to herself that she loves him romantically, and aside from Index or Himegami, she spends the most time with him and they have the best relationship.

In Index's case, I'm sure she loves Touma, but it's more of a family kind of love.

She spends the most time with him. Chasing him down, trying to chain him down, using illusions for being with him. Well in the end its IDTI. She is the BEST of them all. She is maturing into a good woman that she understands that its impossible for Touma to settle down. She is indeed the best friend of Touma

You did notice I said aside from Index and Himegami, right? Seriously, aside from those two and Fukiyose, she spends the most time with him amongst all the girls that know him, and she's admitted to herself that she has feelings for him, plus she's involved in the other side of his life as well.

hmmmm Didn't the pre memory loss Touma traveled aboard ..... think it Guam or something .......( guess for every country he visits there's a girl that got involved .... enter the the mysterious Tanned skin girl ....)

And it will an act of a KAMIJOU if he's on board of shuttle that crashed three years ago and one the 88 survivors

By that logic, Touma should have a massive international harem thanks to his trip from England to Russia. Lessar did say he had no idea what kind of adventure that must've been, or something like that.

When the Index series first started, all of Kamijou's opponents were guys. Sure there was Kanzaki and Misha, but he never beat them.

Then for some reason volume 6 came out, and we have Cromwell. Since then most of his enemies are girls and I'm now wondering what exactly sparked this revolutionary changed

Was there overwhelmingly favorable response or something
