Synopsis
Sudo Kaname is---No was a normal high schooler until one day he receives a text from a friend linking him to a free mobile app known as "Darwin's Game". Later does he discover that this free mobile app game has earned him a one way ticket into a survival game where you put your life on the line. Can Kaname survive long enough to escape this terrifying game and hopefully find a way to clear it?

Kaname Sudo
The main character of the story. He was a normal high schooler until his inclusion in the Darwin's Game thrown him into a dark twisted game of survival. Shortly after joining he defeats, partners up and earns the trust of a beautiful and power A ranked player named Shuka. Who in turns teaches him all she knows about the game and the terminology. The two create a bond of sorts and are currently working together to create a Clan, but much to Kaname's chagrin, Shuka insists that he should get to B2 and create one since it's a man's duty to take the lead in many situations.

Despite his unwillingness to play the game, Kaname is shown to be a quick thinker and pretty clever in dangerous situations. Although still weak and full of inexperience, in the currents raws he's shown to display good leadership capabilities. Which in turn fits into Shuka's insistence for him to create the Clan himself.

Shuka
The main heroine of this story. Despite her cute and beautiful appearance she's a real femme fatale and a powerful and unbeatable A ranked player in Darwin's Game. Tried to eliminate Kaname when she thought she couldn't trust him, but after Kaname understands the concept of Sigils he uses his cunning and cleverness to defeat her (making it her first loss in the game).

The two create a bond and partnership and gets immediately smitten with him. She serves as a mentor to the confused and out of place Kaname and teaches him the rules and terminology of the game. The two are currently trying to create a Clan, but insists that Kaname should make it which is weird since he's of a lesser rank than her and could create one anyone time if she wanted.

I just discovered this manga yesterday and dude I'm really impressed with it. The story hasn't fully picked up yet, but it does show potential to be something better. What I enjoy about this manga is the structure of how Darwin's Game is constructed and the rewards, benefits, and risks that come from participating. There are plenty of neat terminology the game throws at you, and I will get to that right now.

Darwin's Game:
Darwin's Game is a completely free social network game! If you keep winning and collect a lot of points, you will be able to exchange those points for various luxuries and privileges.

Points and Classes
As you gain points, the higher your class will be. The higher your class becomes, the more features you'll be able to unlock. You can get regular points everytime you change your classes.

As fast way to get a lot of points is to challenge someone to a class match. If you win, you'll be able to get victory points depending on the class of your opponent! If you manage a complete victory over your opponent, you'll get the chance to take all your opponents's points! Aim for complete victory!

Spoiler for Terminology:

Sigil
Sigils are granted superhuman abilities granted towards anyone willing to play Darwin's Game. According to Shuka, it's said that when you're bitten by the snake when you first register to play the game, it's the sign of "evolution" that the snake grants to you to be able to put up a fight. She also states that any should be able to use their Sigil without being taught similar to how people can breathe naturally since one's birth.

Search Function
The Search Function is a tracking system in the Darwin's Game used to locate other players or opponents during matches. Players can use the tracking system with 1pt, but the downside to it is that it can't actually pinpoint the opponents exact location.

Help Call
Help Call is a system used in Darwin's Game for players to communicate with each other. When Shuka sent a Friend Request to Kaname after creating their partnership, she said that with 5pts they can use this function. Hinting that the function itself without a Friendship Request seem costly.

Class Match Battles:
Class matches are battles where you choose your opponent or a opponent selects the opposition from a list on the app menu. If a battle is accepted, the players or the requested opponent will teleport somewhere near each other and the battle will start.

Encounter Battles
It's a battle when someone from Darwin's Game approaches and challenges the opponent. Similar to encounters battles in the Pokemon, old school Final Fantasy, and Tales series games.

Shelters
Shelter is an item that anyone can purchase from Darwin's Game for 10pts. According to Shuka, Shelters can only protect players from Class Match Battles as it helps prevent the player's name from showing up on the match list listings for a week. However, they can't prevent Encounter Battles.

Points
Points are the players currency and life points in Darwin's Game. Like I said in the introduction, the points you obtain the most features you can unlock and change your class and rank. Shuka also states that 1 point is worth and can be converted to 100,000 yen. She also warns to avoid recklessly buying items and converting points into cash due to risk of potential game-over if one were to lose in a match.

Interestingly enough according to an info broker it appears you can even trade and sell points for information.

Clans
Clans or "Family", "Kin" or "Relatives" are groups that can be created in Darwin's Game similar to Guilds and Parties in MMOPRGs. By joining a clan you can request help in battles and participate in Clan related battles. Anyone of any rank can join a Clan, but you need to be rank B2 and higher to make one.

Zero Point Treatment
Zero Point Treatment or as I like to call it "ZPT" is a term in Darwin's Game similar to a "Game Over" in video games. If a player is killed during a match/event or is defeated and their points hit zero, the player will be removed from the game permanently. The player's body will get pixelated bit by bit and will leave a human shape imprint on the floor or where ever they're stationary before the removal from the game phase starts.

However, you can be saved from ZPT if a player surrenders to the opposition providing that the winner won't kill the opponent. If a surrender is successful and they have points remaining, the victory points based off the defeated players rank will transfer to the winner. Thus saving the defeated from ZPT, but points are still lost though.

Prohibitions
It's prohibited to any player to talk about Darwin's Game outside of it. If the management hears about it, one's account will be deleted. That's why it's recommended to call it to D-Game whenever you're talking about it in public.

Okay. I think I've covered all the rules, terminology, and other concept of the game. If there's more rules and terminology that this series hasn't thrown in yet I'll be sure to update it. For now the series has 8 chapters out of 19 translated.

The translation team had been going on and off about this issue of translating this series. I heard that they might make an update for this series sometime this month or the next one. I'll be sure to keep a look out on that.

Well his abilities does remind me a bit of Shiro's, but he's different from him in most ways. Like I said, he's weak and needs to get help constantly (I've seen the raws to know), but I think he has potential to become something powerful as he develops in the game. Plus, now he is willing to participate to ensure is survival and hopefully find a way to clear it.

Plus, he doesn't say the "People die if they're killed" line or anything.

Don't think this girl will join Kaname's group soon. She's the no. 1 after all, her joining will remove all tension and make Kaname's group too powerful. Have to introduced a stronger enemy/enemy group before having her join Kaname's group(if she will ever join that is)

That's true but it never stated in the rules of D-Game that other clans can't partner up with other groups without needing to leave their respective one's first. If the two groups share a common goal or if they need to band together to take down a common enemy, wouldn't that work out for the better in terms of survival?

Plus, it's a matter of whether if a powerful group would be interested in allying themselves with others if they can profit/gain something out of it. In Kaname's case... he's getting a bit more famous as time develops, and there have been people who find him interesting to the point of wanting to confront and work with him.

In the recent raws one of the most powerful and dangerous clans is trying to hunt down Kaname. He and Shuka are intact as partners, but I'm not sure about Ryuuji and Sui as of right now. To put it simple his members are strong, but against other clans they're weak as of now and a bit of assistance couldn't hurt either. Whether others join Kaname, who knows, but he sort of needs it because he's practically still weak as he is, but he has been growing strong both mentally and physically. Like I said before it's a matter of if they're willing to fight under a common goal and what they can gain or profit something out of a partnership that risky.

Ryuuji, Sui, and Rain is "officially" in his clan. Danjyou(the karateka) has agreed to temporarily group up with Kaname, now they plan to coax the no. 1 girl in the team-up. I still think she won't join for a while though, until a stronger enemy team-up group is created or the girl get nerfed.
