woot shiro figure preorder from kotobukiya is finally up. i got all excited only to find out it is 11,000 yen. i expected it around maybe 9,000 yen. around $97 USD from amiami and hobbysearch with their discounts is still not appealing enough. i'll wait for her in the pre-owned sections.

For this series is there a huge diffrence between the dvd and blu ray versions

I finally got around to buying the BD and have to say it really is a nice package. Just on the topic of special features....there are way more in this thing than I've seen in basically any other BD release for an anime. Even including the Japanese audio commentary for 6 episodes.

Spoiler for Commentary:

Ok, these are really nice. They are practically little audio stories since the characters are almost never talking about what is happening in the episode. A lot of messing around, but also some interesting character/story information revealed. I mean they delve into things in regards to the scary talents that Steph's grandfather had. And even point out that....Fi has been using magic to basically absorb Kurami's breasts. Since in Elven Gard it is a big negative to have large breasts and Fi basically wanted to avoid Kurami who was already a slave to be further discriminated against.

Plus I just have a good laugh at the idea that Steph ended up having to run around town buying things while dressed as she normally is . Just running around...Japan and being sent off to buy food and games despite the fact that she can't read Japanese .

And for a show that looks as good as this does...definitely feels worthwhile getting the BD version.
