How so? I mean, it definitely looks tacky, but what else were they gonna do? It looks pretty much like the one in the comics. That being said, that's all the defending I'll do for this movie. I've completely lost faith in Hollywood at this point.

I have to say, Chris Evans looked pretty damn hot when he came out of the Capt. America machine (sorry, don't know much about the series). I had no idea he was that sculptured.
That being said, I'm a little confused by the negative reaction shown here so far. I assume those speaking out are Captain America fans, because otherwise the negativity seems a little off. The trailer was no Tree of Life (to name a recent great trailer), but it was definitely a cut above the recent comic book film trailers, and greatly piqued my interest concerning the film and potential series. Right now, my only real concern is how much the film is going to be an actual story or whether it is simply a prologue for the Avengers film coming out 2012/2013. I'm also greatly interested in whether the entire film will take place during WWII, with the eventual Avengers film showing Capt. America's resurrection, or if, much like the horrendous 1990 fare, Captain America will awake a stranger in a strange land... Whatever the case, I liked the trailer and have started to anticipate the feature. |
