Just a guess, but they might be larger than the size limits imposed on gallery items. In the past the forum software would tell you when a file was larger than the limits. Now the software grabs the first frame of an animation and displays just that (and in a reduced-quality version as well). I encountered the problem originally when trying to upload an oversized avatar.

The gallery size limits are:
Maximum File Size per Picture 97.7 KB
Maximum Picture Dimensions 600 by 600 Pixels

Upload the pics in question to a host site such as Imageshack (there are several others) and then copy paste the Thumbnail for forums code given to you there.

Has it ever happened to you?

Someone says ten different things to you in a conversation and you end up remembering three of those for many years to come. It happens to me all the time, and I don't seem to have much control over it.

I am sure it happens to others as well, it's just that in my case I tend to make a lot of posts about it.

The HOT sig I am wearing now...I have another like it. both made by Scep. They are animated in his album...but when I upload in mine...they don't move.

You mean the button in the quote above.

The ; is separating the name from the post count and if you add a post count (from the right post

) to the quote tag you get the button you want.

But it is easier to click directly on the "quote"-Button in the lower right corner of a post

Technically, yes. Practically for you, maybe not. AMV appears to be a proprietary format and the specification is closed to the public. So, while a converter might exist (and it is technically possible to convert), it is probably not publicly available. Someone on a site focused on video related topics might know more.

Try this site videohelp.com
They have multiple guids for converting something to another something

But it could be that you have to convert mkv to avi and then to amv.

check up the size of the files you have uploaded, just download them, do not lokk at the filze on your hd look at the size of the filze you have uploaded

Yeah probably. There is file size limit for GIFs over 50KB. If you try to upload an image which goes over the limit it will automatically turn into a static JPEG.

Where did the phrase "kind of a big deal" come from? Common usage seems to be along the lines of "[Person] is Kind of a Big Deal" (capitalization as in the example is sometimes employed when it is used online). I've heard it used in comical situations as well as non-comical situations. Is it a company slogan? Something from a comedy? I'm looking for clarity in terms of how I should perceive the intent behind its usage. Thanks in advance.
