At least they improved, but still need some work. When you get the same VAs for doing a great job on one series (Gurren Lagann) then we criticize those same VAs in another series for being bad or off. That is just human nature and we can't do anything about that.

well kincaid sort of a bit ok doing on shirley (despite she known to be the wife of the pudding earl aka lloyd) but really she is no fumiko orikasa despite that i'm just waiting for r2-12 & r2-13 besides i did see fumiko's final moments in r2-13 & really that is something to see but how will the dub version will do?

& again on the kallen's dub really Karen Strassman as kallen was really a surprise that she known for doing soifon & momo on bleach yet out of nowhere heard her as kallen & miyuki (lucky star) dub really i've said in my mind that she was a surprise in 08 dubbing.

I dont think its fair to compare the two of them like that, especially because Japanese and English are two totally different languages. But, of course, Fumiko Orikasa has more experience and a lot more roles to her name. I've been a huge fan of her's for a while now, she has great range with her roles. Kincaid is newer to the scene, as far as I know, Shirley is the first Ive heard from her. I think she'll start to be in more roles over time, I'd be happy to see that. But, like you said, Im also waiting to see how Kincaid handles r2-13, I think she'll get it, but we'll have to wait and see.

Hm,I don't understand why people don't like some of the voices?
I find them quite enjoyable..Then again,I watched basically half of the first season before even looking at one clip of the japanese version.

The dub has made that one midget Eunech my new favorite character in the entire series. Everytime he speaks I laugh, and I love the concept of a Camp Gay Midget Eunech.

well i'm still waiting for the eps of r2 that would consider to be a "challenge" to dub since i'm sayin it rush-dub like r2-13 (confirm for feb 22) then r2-18 & r2-19 yea the turning point of it, & yep that "trainwreck" aka r2-21 to r2-25 cause in "re;"-al truth would something to hear.

Some lines were changed or re-recorded.

Prime example from Stage 6, in the original dub that aired on [as] there's the infamous "I'd prefer Milly" line which was responded to with "Why do you have to so different?"

This was redubbed for DVD release and the response was changed to "This is NOT the time to be coming out of the closet".

From a dub enthusiast, I'm afraid to say that Kincaid was rather sub-par this time, her voice kept on breaking. Bosch on the otherhand was excellent, he saved it somewhat.

It was also refreshing to hear Jeremiah Gottwald regularly again. Crispin Freeman <3(brotherly-like of course)

Well, I'm sure a lot of it has to do with the fact that I love Shirley so much, but tonight's episode made me cry at the very end. I don't think Shirley's VA (Kincaid?) was that bad and I think she captured the emotion of the scene pretty. And JYB...well, he's JYB, he can do no wrong. He's like the next SJB.

well after seeing that ep dub version i say it was something to see.

jyb really did his best
the return of orange boy yep was ok
& really i say shirley's dub has indeed stole the ep cause i saw fumiko version was ok & dub version was almost like it fumiko version

& now there 12 left with the turning point/betrayal arc & the final 5 re; arc this is one ride to watch

I have to agree with you on that. For some reason, Sayoko's dubbed voice bugged me.

^Sayoko's voice is fine with me.

Next note: I'm interested in seeing how well Kate Higgins does the demure C.C. voice. Higgins is a great voice actress, but most of her characters are bold voiced. I haven't seen her do demure, except when she did Sakura in a small flashback.

Well it's come to pass at last.
I think Shirley's VA did an excellent job. Couldn't ask for a better job. The script writers definately needs a lot more improvement though, but can't judge a VA for the line she's given.
On the contrary to what everyone's saying, I don't believe Bosch did a good job. When he says "I order you not to die", and "Shirley, Shirley" in her last moments, it was so emotionless. Of course, some blame goes to the scriptwriters, but even so, the scream at the end was no where close to having the intensity that it should've had.

well geez but still i say very well dub for that "moment" & yet i wonder how will those remain 12eps from turning point/betrayal, c2 'ywan" side, kallen pounding on suzaku (yeah yuri lowenthal is going getting beaten a lot), evil parents, & final 5 r2 eps that lead to re;
