When they're flying, do their thrusters get hot?

Of course, unless Izuru claim it's not, I'll pretend that's what happens.

And the pilot is protected by armor, life support, AND protection field, from different kinds of hazard. Toasted ass is one of them (I look at you, Rin)

No, before that, he'll be ripped apart by sheer force.

Is it really that fast it would pulverize the person?

Destroyed bones minimum.

It has been calculated that Spiderman is going to break Jane's backbones by catching her midair with a swing. Imagine something go at hundreds of kilometers per hour and you decide to latch into it *SPLAT*

Even if you somehow managed to climb into them (for example before they can take off), I and demi already concluded about 10-20 g force experienced without PIC involved. At that point, you simply has no power to latch anymore.

And you'll be thrown with that much acceleration and *SPLAT*

Now I know why Ichika is very careful at carrying the girls

would it be a breakthrough if an IS' shield can literally cut through wind so as not to affect the IS itself?

Is slitting your own throat a quick death? When people commit suicide, the neck or arms seem to be the first considered.

if you mess up then you'll have to bleed to death. Won't wait too long though. Prolly just 2-5 minutes of choking on your own blood.

@ Eras
Yup, arms and neck have the largest arteries... well, your hips too, but stabbing it is a bit... inconvenient due to large concentration of muscles. (5 largest arteries you can lethally cut: Neck, both wrist, both hips)

@ Demi
Yes, that's a breakthrough, and a gamebreaking mechanism since air drag is the only thing keep I.S. from going hypersonic at low altitude.

From my observation, I.S. arena is roughly 100 m tall or less, meaning I.S. cannot go supersonic under that altitude (Canonically, they ALL go supersonic at roughly 300 m altitude, during gospel battle)

Good news: Writing Shadow again.

BAd News: 1st or 3rd person view?

Writing present tense 1st person seems......odd.

Lol, it's up to you. Also, why it's odd?

For some reason I forgot how to write 3rd person style properly.

It's the present tense that's kinda odd. Maybe I'm just used to the past tense.

Well, my writing style is present tense for 1st PPOV, and past tense for 3rd PPOV, so maybe that's my own oddity (since I never actually learn English Literature and screwed up basic learning in school)

Past tense for 1st PPOV means you're narrating something that already happen, like a historical retelling or something like that. This is why canon use First person PPOV, that's how Japanese write their light novel most of the time.

It just seems odd saying "I freeze in place, my words caught in my throat from panic."

I mean, you're frozen in place with panic, but you're still naratting?

Eh? In that case, "Froze" is correct because it's already happen. On the other hand, yes, you're still narrating. It's your monologue after all.

It's confusing but yes, that's how BT translation works, Ping claim it's done so it could be as close as possible with original format.

Does the boiler room usually have flammable gasses?

Boiler for what?

Unless it's electric or coal powered, flammable gas might be viable.

Don't most big buildings feature boiler rooms?
