School starts on September 13th most of the time, universities start on October 3rd or so. Winter break's from Dec 24th to Jan 8th, Easter break is inconsistent but usually spans from mid-April to May and summer break starts mid-June for schools and July for universities.
P.S: it's great to be a teacher^^ |

i love Autumn and spring. because in the Summer it is too hot and the cloths stick because of sweat even when not doing anything too strenuous. and in winter i ware warm cloths but when you go inside somewhere it is hot and the change of temprature does't work well with my body.

Autumn. In North Carolina, the majority of Autumn is generally a nice temperature in the mid to high 60s. It's not too hot or humid to the point to where you feel the need to be almost naked to be comfortable, yet it not cold enough to have to wear overly thick clothing yet. And while the scenery may not be able to compete with New England, the mountain scenery is still nice to view.

I perfer summer, as a student, it gives me lots of free time to think, relax, and enjoy without school getting in the way. Also I'm a very active person, summer is a great season for going out under a fairly warm weather. I live near the coast so an morning jog/cycle down the coast feels great during that time.

However, winter is my favorite season because I have fond memories of playing in the deep New Hampshire snow during my childhood days. I think those were the happiest days of my life (so far).

Winter is my favorite season, by far.
Where I live, winter might as well be called a combination of all four seasons. It doesn't get as hot as summer, but it got up to 86 degrees in the middle of winter last year! But naturally, I'm a cold weather lover. I love everything about it. Ice and snow are the most beautiful things in the world to me. I'm just saddened, given the insanely bipolar winters where I live, that when we do get snow/ice it melts really fast. Fall would be my second favorite... Although for the majority of it, it still feels like summer. I like it when the highs start dropping into the 60's and 70's and the leaves start changing. I can't wait for fall this year!

Alternatively the summer has the cricket season, the autumn brings the 'autumn internationals in rugby' and winter is generally dominated by the rugby season (ignoring football and others )
Can't say I have too much preference for any one season there's something to enjoy in all of them. Would be easier to pick out some of the key event such as meeting up with course-mates and friends at Uni at the start of a new academic term, going back home for Christmas with the family, summer holidays etc.. Do like the point about seasonal foods and vegetables! Absolutely love raspberries and strawberries, shame they get ridiculously expensive out of season. |

Made me think that I read a recent news about Australia. That skin cancers due to sun exposure is raising again. But I think it's the same an many european countries. At least in France. |
