They are somehow able to send people overseas for training, case in point would be the current head who was educated in Switzerland. So expect them to be backward technically. But just the elite though... |

First day, showers of artillery strike on American and Korean military bases. And I guess about 50,000 soldiers are going to attack as well destroying much of the facility. Then they go into major cities like Seoul and capture Americans as their hostages. The people's army will therefore deliver a critical blow to America and South. After that their air forces will attack Second day, just massive drops on major cities in Korea. Then their tanks comes in which they said they have 7,000 of them. Then I think they said they will destroy much of the US's pacific fleets and finish the job. Third day, most of Koreans will be in chaos as most of them will lack their basic needs. Then the people's army will be there to help and restore the South. Apparently their plan is so great that United States ran a computer simulation and they imply that the results were so devastating that US is not able to release the result onto the public. That is what got from watching. God that sound in between is so annoying.

Translation:
The First Day On the first day, once the order is given, the North Korean people's army will fire 240mm MRL (Multiple Rocket Launcher), 250,000 Medium/ long-range ballistic missile, and 1000 SSM (Surface-to-surface missile) for the first 30 minutes toward South Korea and the U.S. combined bases, like a shower from the heavens. We will launch a preemptive attack by surprise with hit-and-run raids. Meanwhile, 50,000 Special Forces infantryman will make a surprise attack to South Korea and the .U.S combined air force base, naval base , missile bases and other power plant. North Korea's special forces will enter Seoul and take 150,000 Americans living in South Korea as prisoners of war, which will be a decisive blow. We will attack Air forces with missiles and bombs. South Korea and America's combined air forces will be in a panic, without even one plane having taken off. The Second Day: North Korea army's powered offensive 10,500 North Korean air force paratroopers will drop from a 80 m high altitude. Meanwhile, 4600 tanks and 3000 armored cars will head to South Korea. Our infantry troops will approach South Korea's city and sweet them out. Of course, right after the War has began, we will strike the U.S.'s pacific ocean's bases first and wipe them out. The Last Day (The Third Day) South Koreans including from Seoul and other cities will be in a state of confusion without any food supply, water supply, communications network, and traffic network. On the last day of war, there will be no battle but North Korea army will occupy South Korea and make a stability operations such as restoring provision systems in South Korea. Like this, we have a Unification War scenario that will be finished in just 3 days. Even though the U.S. keeps practicing the invasion of North Korea" War scenario with computer simulations, they are trembling with fear and can't open the scenario to the public. |

Are they expecting the responce from US bases in Japan? Because I'm fairly certain we still have some there. Or from the Japanese themselves, come to think of it.
Also a plan the seems to depend on taking a hundred thousand hostiges. Probably to keep the US government from striking back. No word on nuclear weapon use, unless that's their solution to the US 7th Fleet, but if they take out the 7th Fleet, they are going to also have to deal withthe 3rd Fleet from Hawaii. Though that would be several days later. Plus the Air Force bomber wings are not going to be pleasent about it.

Just trying to make sense of their plan. It seems to revolve around keeping the Americans from reacting before the South Korean civilians give up due to shortages and enemies. Sieges tend to take more than three days on the nation wide level.

And Japan has a pretty cool defensive-type Navy. A quarter of a million within half-hour is still incredulous. I don't remember NK having that many Katyusha launchers to fire 1000 in an hour, let alone functional ones.

3rd Fleet would be da first to respond, along with what's at Okinawa, and the Air Force and Navy did have a few fighters based in Japan. Lets not forget the Japanese Air Self Defense Force, damn good flyers they got!
Plus the bases in S.Korea are probably on stand-by and both DOD and CIA are monitoring this as we speak. Kinda reminds me if the old Cold War days with then rattle in their sabers and us doin the same. The Japanese will respond if attacked directly, and might join with S. Korean and American forces if there is an invasion, they did deploy to Astan and got some "hands-on" there. It's a wait and see situation right now. |

List of former facilities The United States has returned some facilities to Japanese control. Some are used as military bases of the JSDF; others have become civilian airports or government offices; many are factories, office buildings or resential developments in the private sector. Due to the Special Actions Committee on Okinawa, more land in Okinawa is in the process of being returned. These areas include—Camp Kuwae [also known as Camp Lester], MCAS Futenma, areas within Camp Zukeran [also known as Camp Foster], about 9,900 acres (40 km2) of the Northern Training Area, Aha Training Area, Gimbaru Training Area (also known as Camp Gonsalves), small portion of the Makiminato Service Area (also known as Camp Kinser), and Naha Port. Speaking of propaganda videos or videos with a clear warning purpose, that reminds me of the time when the US tested with a GBU-43/B Massive Ordnance Air Blast (MOAB) bomb just 8 days before the Iraq War started. I remember that it was quite the perfect chilly notice for any opposition force ahead.
As a way to respond to North Korea's threats, it would be a good idea for the Pentagon to conduct a more recent test of the MOAB (IF possible) and send the video footage of what it can do to structures sitting within the blast radius on all their media channels (hackers, please apply). Some good old-fashioned counter-propaganda won't hurt anybody. edit: nice listing of the bases, Badkarma. |
