Hope the summary of vol.22 comes out soon.. because I have a crapload of questions about the ending.

Especially this one: In that Shana vs. Yuji battle, who won? I know that
Spoiler for ending:

But I wanna know who won that particular battle? Or was the battle stopped or something?

ohh yeah! I wonder how that battle turned out, as well! Well, without having actually read it, I can't tell if that battle actually happened or not. But it's fairly obvious, it MUST've happened right? Maybe Sakai Yuji just won, to bide time for SnH?
ooooh I just can't wait~

Well, everything was just a big misunderstanding that ended up being a four-thousand year war hidden from human history.

Accept what?

You speak as if I'm even defending them.

It's a fact they were not obliterated at the end and actually benefited from a new world with boundless existence power literally in its very fabric and the end to long war

Alright guys, enough with this for now and let's move on. I should be starting 22 somewhere mid-December. It's going to eat into my January schedule though.

Roughly how long will you take to get to the second chapter? Depending how far I am with Horizon, I may do that one if I feel like it....it's where Chiara shines after all...

Two weeks of translation at least. And another 3 weeks break. The first chapter's already more than 100 pages... (don't forget, I still have that poll novel I want to rush through, though SAO is leading by like, 16 votes?)

Most likely, I guess I'll reach there in like, January?

He's saying he wants to start translating mid-December, so obviously he's not released anything yet. Everyone is getting their hopes up now but let's just chill and let the dude do it when/if he wants to, not pester him. Anyway, we'll soon see this stuff on screen . I suppose last volume material will be airing around February/March.

Well, winning in Flame Haze terms is "retaining the rules of the battlefield".
The "unexpected" win of the Snake of the Festival is unexpected in more ways than one, since the plan he has prepared for thousands of years actually worked, if not for Alastor's and the other Flame Hazes' worries of a meltdown.

In Madoka Magica terms, it's like Walpurgisnacht pulling off a Madokami.

I would argue that the Flame Haze "lost", primarily because their goal was to stop the Snake of the Festival and Yuji from creating Xanadu, fearing that it would destroy the world. While tactically speaking the Flame Haze may have taken the advantage, it was a strategic defeat. Bal Masque's goal was to create Xanadu, so it was a strategic victory for them. A strategic victory being one that ultimately brings the victor closer to winning the war. A tactical victory is one where the victor achieves operational or battlefield victory. The two aren't exclusive, but one can have a strategic victory and tactical defeat, and vice versa. World War II's Battle of the Coral Sea, for example was a Japanese tactical victory in that they caused the Americans more losses. It was a strategic victory for the Americans, however, in that it halted the Japanese invasion of Port Moresby, which would have been a critical threat to Australia. In contrast, the Vietnam War was a tactical victory for the Americans (they defeated the North Vietnamese and Vietcong in practically every battle of the war), but they were unable to prevent South Vietnam from falling to communism, and thus North Vietnam won a strategic victory. An American colonel once said to a Vietnamese colonel that "You never defeat us in the field", and the Vietnamese colonel's response was "That may be true. It is also irrelevant." Similarly, the Flame Haze may have been on the verge of a tactical victory, but the Denizens' were never concerned with defeating the Flame Haze in battle, they just needed to hold the line long enough for the Snake and Yuji to win.

What I'm interested in was who one the personal duel between Shana and Yuji, or was that a stalemate as well?
