He was already exhausted after the fight with Cang Du and collapsed while Gigi was fooling around there. So I guess all she had to do is spilling some blood over him.

I don't believe for a seconds that Hitsugaya is going to stay dead, but this was a nice twist. Can't wait to see Zombiegaya begging for Gigi's dick.

i liked this chapter quite a bit. although i agree that there is 0% chance of hitsugaya staying dead. inoue will bring him back after this fight. her boobs cure everything

Definitely not. Giselle made it a point to mention that unlike Quincies, Shinigami don't need to die to become one of his zombies.

Either through Giselle's death or Hitsugaya using his Saiyan pride, he'll somehow break free as if nothing happened - even if Mayuri is his opponent.

The brown skin seems to indicate he's dead though. The other zombie shinigami that are still alive look normal.

Zombie Hitsugaya really...

Personally i felt a bit meh about the development of Hitsugaya...i believe that...if bleach went on a bit longer, he could develop into a bad ass character.

Anyone know how Japanese readers are reacting to this development? Considering that Hitsugaya has consistently been one of the most popular characters in the manga (according to the polls), I can't imagine his fans being too thrilled about this. Also since Kubo backed down from killing Byakuya, I can't see him permanently killing off Hitsugaya anytime soon.

Ya it has been a nice couple of chapters and this one ends with t a nice twist; would not expect hitsugaya to die and brought out as an opponent. Only little thing spoiling the mood is the meta-knowledge that he won't stay dead.

Apart from the glaring power level descrepencies this chapter was pretty cool (and by pretty cool I mean empty panels till the zomg reveal)

Poor Doggy. He had to get rid of his humanity to beat Bambi half dead and now some random Arrancar could dodge all the bombs and beat Bambi....she's a zombie now, but still....
