Slice of life/comedy

Yes, I know I already have another thread on the first page, but I've been watching quite a bit of these more "serious" anime that I'm starting to want a change of pace with something more light like a slice of life or comedy anime.

Honestly, with my limited experience, the only two I've seen that fits this are Lucky Star and the airing K-on.

I am already going to check out the Aria series as I've heard they are a good "light" anime.

Romance is ok but not a really "heavy" romance.

Anime about normal people that deals more with common, everyday themes.

Also, I'd prefer an overall happy/light feel to the series, nothing depressing.

You should try Minami-ke. It's pretty much a normal slice of life about 3 sisters among others with light comedy and good animation quality. More interesting are the personalities of the characters and how they get along. There is very little, if any, romance.

Man, and I was gonna recommend Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. : |

Everything recommended so far is pretty much what you're looking for, check them out. If you know Suzumiya Haruh, you might also want to check out Haruhi-chan.

You'll probably like Minami-ke It's my favorite slice-of-life, next to Lucky Star and K-On.

Ditto Minami-ke. Sketch Book would be another good option.

Hidamari Sketch and its sequel, Hidamari Sketch x365, fall into the "cute-girls-go-to-high-school" genre that was mined earlier by Azumanga Daioh. No romance of the boy/girl variety, though there are hints that two of the four girls have deeper feelings for each other than friendship. In fact, other than the school principal, males generally don't appear at all in the Sketch universe.

If it comes to comedy and Slice of Life, I'll have to push for Minami-Ke as well. It's funny, yet not outrageous like School Rumble (which I consider 100% comedy).

First season of Minami is the best, first 2eps of Okawari is a trainwreck but it's well worth persevering, third season is very good.

Looks like Minami-ke will be on the list after I'm finished with Aria. Thanks for all the suggestions!
