You didn't read the updates notice
Basically, Xp needed from rank 1->100 have been halved and even if you were rank 100+ you gained this new xp. This wad calculated only on the first lvl up since the update meaning this is the rank you should have been if you played with half xp since the beginning.

With 3.0 update we also got the lp overflow feature that let you keep your current lp on level up (before lp was set to max on level up now it is set to current lp + max lp). This is so you don't need to be at 0 lp when leveling up.

This 2 new features combined made the observed behavior, half xp gave you a bunch of free lvl up and Overflow let you accumulate the combined lp from all those lvl


Tldr: you gained a free tiers for this event

I chose to not take advantage of the LP overflow due to reasons (like making full combo vids for my channel which takes a lot of tries usually) So I'm probably not going to tier at all this event, even if I really like the song lists.

Got one FC set! ...Almost recorded one that ended with Binetsu Kara but the double stairs screwed me even though I can do it perfectly often lol, oh well, its still better than what I'd expect from most people and it had two cancer songs for me, the other being Loveless World.

Information about the massive Aquors update for July 5th for JP SIF came out today.


Pretty hyped for that update & I am so glad to hear µ's cards aren't ending with the addition of Aquors & Idolizing cards thru seal shop sounds pretty promising.

I saw in the notice there's something about "Master" song difficulty. Is there any translation regarding that yet?

"Expert songs to be revamped, new MASTER difficulty that's harder than Expert!" (Expert tier will be regularly available for all main songs like hard now while master will be limited).

I'm not sure what to feel about this new rarity... SR and URs are already pretty close to each other in terms of stats that they would have to buff UR stats to sneak another rarity between them. And wow being able to idolize with just 1 copy huh? I guess it's time a great reason to save stickers. I'll idolize em all!

I'm just glad the µ's cards won't be ending just like that (Not that I don't like Aqours though)

Stat wise I agree they should probably adjust to make it fit, but would feel nice pull wise potentially especially if it's something like for honor scout 10% SR 5% SSR 1% UR & blue coupon 50% SR 30% SSR 20% UR.

I guess it will depend on how many seals you will need to "upgrade" an UR...

Complete translation of the massive update already out:

A massive update is planned for July 5, 2016!

1. Aqours is being formally added to SIF!
- The members will be added to premium recruitment
- There will also be a new main story for the Aqours cast, which is unlocked through assignments instead of rank
- The story and cards will all be full-voiced!

2. µ's and Aqours switching function
- On the live, story, and recruitment menus, a button will be added to switch between µ's and Aqours
- Not only will this affect what's shown on those menus, but it will also change the characters that show up on the login bonus and download screens

3. A new SSR rarity
- This new rarity will be in between SR and UR
- The card designs are also being revamped!

4. Expert songs are being added to the normal songs, and a new Master difficulty is being added
- The trophies you've obtained for the Expert songs will be carried over
- A difficulty above Expert, Master, is being added, and will be released as special songs, 4 per month
- Currently, only µ's songs are planned

5. A new "School Idol Skill" feature
- School Idol Skills can be set to increase the stats and strengthen the skills of cards
- The higher rarity the card, the more skills can be set
- The number of skills that can be set can be increased through special lessons

6. Seals will be able to be used to awaken cards
- Even if you only have R seals, you can use them to awaken URs and SRs if you have enough of them

7. The update schedule for each month will be changed as follows:
- New cards will be added 4 times a month: 2 times for µ's, 2 times for Aqours
- Events will alternate between µ's and Aqours
- Each event will have 2 SRs instead as rewards
- Songs will be added twice a month: mid-month for µs, end of month for Aqours

So... this "School Idol Skills" is some kind of ability slot?

The big question now, will the American version get the update as well in July (even if we already a major one this past Monday), will we have to wait for next year for said update, or will there be a mixture of elements in the American version come July (i. e. No master songs yet, but American players will be able to play as the new team come July).

Considering we got jumped to 3.1 which wouldn't come out normally until December rather than 3.0 or something, it's quite possible they have something planned.

I have a question. Does Sr seal are used to somethings else than getting blue ticket? I was hoping to idolize some of my old Sr by buying a second copy with seal but there is only promo Sr with r skills in the shop.

Will there be real Sr later or should I just grab that ticket?

So far, it can only be used to trade for either scouting coupon or promo SRs, unfortunately. As far as I'm playing the JP till now, there are no regular SRs sold in the shop. With the aqours update, I believe it'll be able to be used for idolizing cards... but it'll be too long for a wait to enter the global version.

So IMO, just take the coupon.
