It’s fine if you don't like Yuuko and/or how the anime presents itself since we all have our own preferences and tastes. As long you don’t openly badmouth the series or provide unconstructive criticism like some here have done I’ll respect your choice and opinion. As for the boob grabbing jokes, I understand it gets old very quickly. But we won’t see much of that anymore from here on from what I remember in the manga.

The case or cases where it does come up may not even be covered by the anime, so I wouldn't worry too much about it.

I'm actually most amused by the easily excited girl that can't see Yuuko. She's my favorite character, and I could care less about Yuuko.

I can't wait for the plot twist and the connection between Yuko and the blue haired girl. I believe both have the same last name.

I finally got to watching the first 2 episodes. This series does have a Shaft feel to it, but a little more coherent. It is still too early in the series to figure out what exactly the goal of the series is. I'm sure there will be horror elements, but the comedy elements have been fine.

I usually try not to make a decision on a series until after the 5th episode. So far, it does show promise. I'm sure the first few episodes will be about character introduction.

Do we even know how old Yuuko is yet?

There's 7 mysteries in total (as mentioned in the show already) 6 after ep 2 so they would have to use the remaining 10 ep to finish it + the mystery behind Yuko so it could work but it might feel a little rush. :\
Alot of the anime lately has been pretty short....

Caught up with the second episode: Oh the irony of calling Teiichi a pervert.

I certainly enjoyed it though.

Yeah, the way the story is going, the comparisons to the director's previous work Natsu no Arachi and some of the investigating of Gosick are better comparisons than Another. Parts of the opening had a very SHAFT feel to them, this being SILVER LINK and since the director is one of those who "invented" the SHAFT style, this is not a surprise.

LOL at the buildup to Yuuko saying "it's so embarrassing". I do like that she is rather playful and seems to almost encourage the accidental touching of her breasts that seems to happen regularly. I guess since Teiichi is the MC, he has to be one of those that gets flustered at anything sexual. I guess Yuuko is going to have a lot of fun teasing him.

Interesting how this particular hide-and-seek game is like hypnosis. Yeah, the power of suggestion can be pretty powerful. The split screens and how Teiichi "exorcises" was very amusing.

The OP is pretty good, but I love the ED. That is one of the best EDs that I have heard this season.

Spoiler for spoiler to those who haven't seen it: As expected, the mini arc of Yuuto and Haruka + the mini arc of the "Beckoning Window" was skipped. That means that 3 characters were cut out (let's hope that not permanently). We get to see a glimpse of how Kirie sees Yuuko and Niiya before she introduces herself, in other words she sees "slimy Yuuko" flirting with Niiya. All in all, the chapter was more romantic that what I expected it to be. Also, I was pretty sure they were going to censor some of the... erm, key scenes of the episode but they hardly did __________________ Now sponsoring : video game analogies (ES) Last update : Chapter 25 as of 31/08/12

potchip Senior Member Join Date: May 2007	Spoiler for ep 3: Decent episode again. Still the mix of humor/mystery/horror but I like the distribution a bit better. I expect people will complain about sudden tone shifts when it's intentional rather than being a directional mishap. That is, the show is mostly a tease. Was that the other Yuuko? No, just another manifestation of the same Yuuko, but easy to see how appearance along can get a very different reaction. Also a bit romantic when it showed perception/feelings can directly influence how Yuuko is seen. The worrying part is Yuuko may not be able to influence everyone as she has this time Niiya, and you can easily forseen how things can go the other way to the point of no return (after all we are talking about self-fulfilling properchies, fueled by perceptions alone!). And being a ghost, it is possible that Yuuko herself is independent - her own manifestation may very well be influenced by the person(s) she's haunting. Last edited by potchip; 2012-04-22 at 19:22.
