Off topic but Suzumura Kenichi who voiced Shinn and Sakamato Maya who voiced Lunamaria are expecting their first baby next year. Good news. I guess they would do their voices in the SEED film after the birth of their baby so the movie wont be out next year then. I mean if those two characters are in the movie that is.

Kira already overtaken Shin's spot once. Won't be surprised if he successfully remove Shin from movie this time.
When there's a will, there's a way. Add detachable gunbarrels for Freedom, add more arms for Justice.

Okay jokes aside, i think maybe they already started the work, since they're targeting for a 2022 release.. Just have to wait for the update.

I really do hope it comes out next year if it can. Not seeing any info about it is a torture. I think they also mentioned a new SEED game as well. SEED game were pretty good. Especially the PS2 ones and the gba one. So looking forward to those as well.

FWIW, Strike Freedom still lacks physical melee weapons.

Ah, that's true.
It didnt get any melee weapon when Kira upgraded from Freedom to SF so imagine if the new Freedom doesnt get another melee weapon again

If Destiny broke Shinn down completely, then the movie could be about giving him a proper redemption arc.

For example, have Kira serve as Shinn's mentor, emulating Kamille's relationship with Amuro in Zeta, if there was one.

Or, Kira could turn into Luke in The Last Jedi.

Other ideas for the movie are as follows:

1. Introduce a Mineva/Mariemaia expy, have her be the daughter of Kira and Fllay, and serve as a foil to Lacus

2. With drone warfare being a major war issue currently, Sunrise/Fukuda could reintroduce Gundam Wing's Mobile Doll concept into the CE universe

Not the first explanation about PS but easier ones to elaborate why PS exist only on "premium units" even for ZAFT.
Nice to know that fall of Heliopolis is because ZAFT afraid PS will became Union major game changer in battlefield, so all methods allowed to the point it became scandal.

If you performing maintenance to a super car, the spare parts need to be live up to super car standard as well, often specific.
One can't use parts from any cars they could find just because its a same four wheels vehicle. CMIIW, wasn't Freedom and Justice also like that, being ZAFT premium units their spare parts is unique to ZAFT manufacturing (and later supervised by Lacus faction) ?

Eclipse do strikes me as Orb premium unit with this chapter confirm in how its more durable than one would expect from a transformable unit; Miyabi carrying the OS with her felt like saying current state of Eclipse model is to get around MS regulation as neutral faction.

I just started a rewatch and I can’t help but wonder if some of the vehicles destroyed in the first episode actually contained more packs for the strike. Like maybe one that gave it the mirage colloid system like the blitz. It’s the only one that doesn’t have an equivalent pack to fit the strike.

The Bandai Namco Group stated in its latest fiscal year presentation on May 10 that the upcoming Mobile Suit Gundam Seed film project is planned for release in the current fiscal year. Bandai Namco's current fiscal year ends in March 2024.

The film project is part of the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Project ignited initiative, which was announced in 2021. The initiative commemorates the 20th anniversary of the original Mobile Suit Gundam Seed anime in 2022, and it has several parts. The initiative also includes a new Mobile Suit Gundam Seed game and the Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Eclipse side-story manga.

Mobile Suit Gundam Seed director Mitsuo Fukuda confirmed that the film is a sequel to the second Gundam Seed television anime, Mobile Suit Gundam Seed Destiny.
