Ray Lewis is set to retire at the end of this season. It will be weird seeing the Ravens without him. He's been there since the franchise's inception in 1996.

Yeah, and I wouldn't be surprised if Ed Reed retired this season too. Gonna be weird.

Well at least Ray Lewis will retire with the ring he won in Super Bowl XXXV.
If Ed Reed retired this season, he will retire without a ring. That's sad.

This is assuming the Ravens don't go to or even win the Superbowl.

Both the Steelers and Ravens are on the decline. Will the Bengals step up and take the division over?

You know, I've always had this idea that The Ravens would hire Ray Lewis back to the team almost immediately after he retires for a coaching position.

Though I hate to say it, The Steelers have been a hard team to keep down for an extended period. In the 16 game era, they've only had double-digit losses four times, with the worst record being 1988's 5-11. It's hard to exactly say what will happen to The Ravens, while decline may be on order for them because of their old defense, their offense might also become more capable of shouldering the burden. The Bengals on the hand have a lot of things going in the right direction, so they might end up at the top division next year if they don't suffer any major injuries.

I was thinking more along the lines of a return to 'The U'.

Lewis might stay out of the spotlight once his playing days are over. He might not be interested in coaching.

I'm sure they will once/if he wants to. From the sounds of it though, he wants to take some time off to be with his kids.

Also, the Ravens have been plagued by huge injuries, both in quantity and quality, this season. Granted the defense has gone south, but if the offense stops acting like total derps away from home, they'll be fine.

Looks like Ray Lewis already has a gig lined up with ESPN following the season.

Justin Smith was back at 49ers practice today. He's going to apparently play through his injury. He has another week to rest up before the 49ers play whomever it is in the divisional round. Should be interesting.

Yeah, but even so, he'll probably end up working for The Ravens organization again in some fashion before he dies.

So a few team are already looking at good candidates to fill in the vacancy at head coach.

Kansas City Chiefs are near a deal with now former Philadelphia Eagles' head coach Andy Reid.

Oregon Ducks head coach, Chip Kelly is set to interview with the Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles and Buffalo Bills for their openings at head coach.

The Chargers are taking a look at Lovie Smith for their head coach vacancy.

Arizona Cardinals will be interviewing with current Pittsburgh Steelers OC, Todd Haley.

Right after firing Pioli to boot.

Chip Kelly is allegedly on the verge of signing with Cleveland.

Honestly the two games today I am not that interested in, assuming the Texans and the Packers don't trip up I think they will both with their games easily.

Cincy's chances rest on how Dalton and their O-line handles J.J. Watt and the Screen X rush. Cincy's defense has been solid of late and I doubt they will allow Schaub the play-action freedom many other teams have allowed him this season.
