practical is maybe not the right word but the point is that Jackie's character design doesn't mesh with Takashi Takeuchi characters designs in Fate/Stay Night and Fate Zero.

It has nothing to do with who draws her, but who did her initial design. When Takeuchi is going to draw her he will be stuck with Sanada Taketo design.

Not Higashide. Character design for Jack created Sanada Taketo.

Sigurd is the only one I'm even remotely interested in. I would say Jeanne, but I immediately lost interest when she was some newly created class.

Reika and Jack will be probably just secondary characters.

When it comes to how it will be darker in comparison to Fate/Zero. You try to compare previous Higashide's works with those from Urobuchi.
