Perhaps a fire-type Zanpaku-to would burn off all the poison...as well as creating a blast wave that would basically blow it away in all directions...btw...this is not directed at anyone just wanted to say that Raika means Fire started by lightning...not lightning flash...well I guess it could mean both but the first is more accurate especially since Amagai has a fire-type Zanpaku-to

darn, a sissy ruined a good chance to see a serious fight with the new captain just as it was starting to get more intersting.

ichigo was damn lucky to run into captain amagai who actually has the sense to listen to logic, i mean look at soifon she didnt even try to listen to ichigo and rukia, but ichigo still thought he could convince other captains, but if he had ran into mayuri it would hvae really sucked for him

Finally, Bleach's current story arc has begun to approach the climatic phase.

Ichigo and Rukia did a lot of improvement in this episode to make the plot progressing even forward.

Spoiler:

- Shuu gets completely out of his shell and requests for the 3rd's Division help to rescue Lurichiyo, stopping Ichigo and Amagai's duel in the process.

- They succeed with a reasoning, peace talk with the Captain of the 3rd Divison, which is a feat and first one in the Bleach Universe.

- Amagai has now become their ally.

- Kifune looks like is starting to get somewhat unstable after what he heard from Lurichiyo and committing mistakes that I no doubt they'll cost him later, once Kira finally tracks him down.

Forget about that, if Ichigo had accidentally ran into Zaraki, then it would have become an all fired-up battlefield and rampaging fun.

I think the only other captain that would listen to reason would have been Ukitake

besides that, the episode was okay but i didnt like how Shuu interupted the battle.

Shunsui and Unohana would of probably listened too.

Pretty sure Byakuya would of started a fight about as much as Kenpachi would >.>

Soifon did listen, but Ichigo couldn't backup his claims, if Shuu interveined during that scuffle, it would of been different.

There's always been a question in my mind about Byakuya's bankai second stage.

What's the effect of it after all???

Just two person surrounded by countless swords and Byakuya fights his opponent with only one of them? No, it does not slow down Ichigo's movement or whatsoever, as Byakuya points out Ichi's just getting to his limit. So what's the point going the this second stage after all? I can see the first stage can totally drain every bit of Ichi's power and the Byakuya is left unscattered(like Gaara).

From all the captains only the robot guy and maybe the animal guy woudnt listen to Ichigo... Soifon would have listened to Ichigo if he had some kind of proof and Kenpachi would just fight Ichigo for the sake of fighting and then leave. Byakuya acts tough but he is just a softie inside..

I dont know about that Amagai -.- I still dont trust him... he seems too capable and good to be true. He is supposed to know Kifune for a long time but when Kira told him about Kifune acting suspicious, he took it too calmly ..

kanamoru the animal guy and mayuri the robot guy are the ones most unlikely to listen to ichigo because mayuri is a twisted sick guy and kanamoru is really loyal to yamamoto
maybe unohana, shunsui and ukitake would most likely listen

I totally agree with that comment. Not many people realise that Amagai and Kifune are supposed to go way back and he seems a bit too trusting IMO.
