Has anyone else been watching that Hakuouki anime? Anyone else thing the Shizuru, the main girl looks like Kyonko?

Haruhiko is what the Japanese people are using, but to avoid confusion to westerners (who might think "Kyonko = Kyon + ko therefor Haruhiko = Haruhi + ko?") we use Haruki.

And the Western confusion is also the only reason our artists/writers use "Itsuko" instead of "Itsuki".

Not because they are also confused about the -ko prefix,
what Danny means is that the kanji romanization for female Itsuki's name would also be Itsuki.

So you'd search for 古泉一姫 instead of 古泉一樹, even though they're both pronounced "Koizumi Itsuki". The former is a female name, the latter a male one.
