Moka is screwed if she loses even one eye. Having only one eye = no depth perception, meaning she won't be allowed to practice boxing anymore.

Chapter 40 is out...tense stuff. The match has been quite interesting thus far--Isamu does need to learn whether he can box for himself--but I will still be extremely disappointed if Moka has to give up boxing permanently. It's a rarity that I can find such a kickass and likeable female character to cheer for; I want to see her fight and overcome her struggles just as much as I want to see it for Take himself.

Well, Isamu lost, but he lost fighting to the last second so it's not bad...actually it looked good on him as he wants to get better at boxing even after losing (by the bell, otherwise he would have win/tie by points).

Moka's boxer career is screwed, after a retina surgery you can't even take one hit or you can got blinded permanently, it's really sad for her

I've expected that(Moka retired) will be happened from the start of the serie, and Isamu continue her dream, how predictable

I hope the author will come up with something really original on next chapters.

Major also had an injury that should've ended the MC's baseball career early on as well, so I'm not counting Moka out just yet...

Thing is though, after a certain age group, boxing becomes segmented by gender.

Ultimately, I don't see the story branching itself into 2 directions of male:female boxing. It'd make more sense to pull a plot device that retires Moka.

Yeah, the guy fighting for the girl, like in any other shounen. But really how many boxers got such injury on their first fight? That one is so unnatural and forced.

I am a boxer..so i know a lot of it..

This manga isn't bad..but...i prefer green boy...is just that is strange to think that Isamu dodge because he has good eyes...is was more interesting, and real if he can dodge because he is able to read fast he opponent move...but..after all..is a manga...
