Yep, cliff hangers are getting worse and worse as the story goes on. And you're right, there's a break for the magazine next week so there's no chapter. *sinks into a pit of despair muttering inconprehensibly*

@ Nines: Well, Chao is a time traveler, so whether or not she's technically been born yet isn't really a factor. I'm pretty sure Shiori described the Master of the Grave as being "sometimes like an old woman and sometimes like a young girl", although I can't remember exactly where that was.

Well, unless Negi was following the path that Chao told him not to follow yah she would still be alive, but with the change of events from some one coming back and time and telling them not to do said path that created her she would cease to exist.

If she had ceased to exist, that would have created far too many continuity problems (no satellite for Chachamaru just to use, no Chisame in the group, probably not even a trip to Mundus Magicus, since with no Mahorafest tournament, Negi doens't have his trip kickoff meeting with Albireo). So I assume Negi hasn't taken that path yet, or we'd have a plot-denying paradox in our hands.

We don't know which kind of time travel laws the author is using for negima. He may be using something similar to Dragon Ball in Negima, where changing the past creates an paralell universe, but don't change the time from where the person came from. So there isn't much we can say before he explains how time traveling works in negima's universe, if he ever does.

so like her existence was already there but she came to warn him of the path he was taking so she wouldn't come to exist. so Chisame would be there colonel would be involved etc etc they still went to magic land to find negis dad.

Chachamarus artifact is a good point on that though....unless it just came because Chachamaru was worked on by Chao that she gets an artifact related to chao....idk thats a good point to why she exist still tho.

Erasing Chao from existence serves no real purpose storytelling wise, though. Even if she never appears again anyway.

When is the next kindergarten chapter coming out, so at least we'll have something to munch on while we wait... and wait... and wait...?

Ugh, the Dynamis thing, I didn't like. I agree with Chiu on it being an annoying (to say the least) return to square zero. Just finish the damn arc already instead of pushing every accomplishment back down.

@Overmaster: I love how Chisame is basically acting as the readers' voice. I mean, she basically mirrors the reader reaction every time a twist comes up. At the very least it shows that Akamatsu is aware of how people will react to what happens.

No, Quart specifically says killing is off limits. Basically, only magical denizens and Chachamaru (who he doesn't consider living beings) are targets.
