I am not clicking on the spoiler until I read the chapter,

I like surprises and learning that Chiu being in chapter 338 and they're planning on mars was a big enough spoiler for me.

also Yay for Leeway gates! Instant travel over massive distances through magical planes.

Canonrap posted his summary on vetus, and also posted on his twitter that the word count for 338 weighs in with about 2800 words. So it should be awhile till it comes out.

Haha Chisame was cute this chapter. We get to seem some more 'honest' side of Chisame, as well as some of her nostalgic tsukkomi's.

I think Negi's plan is to give Mars its own source of magic. Maybe the implication is that certain plantlife are able to harness magic like the tree in Mahora. If there is real life at Mars, maybe the magic will no longer diminish.

Something to that effect.

Asuna is supposedly able to manipulate whatever magic energy there is on Mars, so she could tap into it to see how things are going.

But whether or not he need Asuna for this, necromantic research is gonna go up into a whole new level through this project.
