It was used as a cover for the Development Artworks book discussed in the Merchandise thread-previews start getting posted on page 8, but I don't know where this one is from specifically, have to wait for Mr. Terrorist to respond I guess

As Soggy works on his CoH Anime mashup, I've set to work on a more easily toyed with game, Soldat, A free multiplayer sidescrolling shooter. Think of it as a mix of the classic Sonic games and CounterStrike.

Wow, you leave this thread along for a bit and all kinds of interesting material crops up.
Yeah, that's an amusing crossover pic (remember the Resistance one I'd turned up a ways back?). And on the subject of mashups... it's a shame that we won't see this sort of thing making its way over into Battlefield Heroes (which, as certain of us are likely quite aware, received recently an infusion of Bad Company 2-related goodies).

I found something both curious and entertaining.
Spoiler for Size, possible NSFW warning:
I mean, yeah. If someone can translate this without getting banned, or something, that would be awesome. |

Don't see what there's to get banned about. Nothing too overly gross, no swears or anything. It's all a matter of contexts, if you can read what's being said you'll have a good laugh. just looking at the pics and not being able to read the captions might be confusing.
-"Well, Welkin. Isn't making Bread Fun?" -"Uh... yeah, it is" -"Ah, be more gentle" -"So...sorry" -"Welkin and... Alicia??" -"Ahh, Welkin... that's so good" -"What... what are they doing?, what's going on??" -"Please... Welkin... inside... put it inside." *the captions say Alicia is refering to the bread dough, she wants the bread dough put into the oven. But obviously that's not what Isara is thinking* -"Oh... good morning Isa..." -*Sorry, don't know what Isara responds, don't have my Japanese dictionary at hand. but the caption refers it to either being later that day or the next day* |

I figured it to be fun with context. I suppose Isara had her image of her brother forcibly (if accidentally) changed. For all she knows, Welkin put his bread in Alicia's oven. *Shot*

I wasn't putting you down or anything, I realized how it sounded when I was laying in bed at 1:00 A.M., but decided against getting up, going all the way down to the basement, logging on and changing it. Had to work the next day, just got back and saw it now.
Isara's misunderstanding was quite funny indeed though, I take it she didn't stay to find out what was really going on. |

If someone would be so kind, could they provide some shots of the following weapons from the art book?
ZM MP series GSR-XX This is because of my Soldat mod (Soldat no Valkyria, or, if I remember the translation correctly off Wikipedia, this would be "Valkyria of Soldat". I'm already working on the Ram-bow being a Valkyrian lance, but mainly that comes down to finding good sound effects.) |

BTW, it was a tough break for me since I got lab work, projects, and a presentation to prepare for a conference. However, plz remain a little more patient as the coloring of my Modern Warfare's version of Alicia is almost done after taking a long time to find a good camo pattern, to draw it and put on the right colors. |

There are two to be accurate : Arid/Desert CADPAT for missions in deserts and wastelands (such as Barious Desert and Fouzen) and the MARPAT for forest/other green areas. I have taken looks at pictures of the patterns into targeted environments and asked a few friends who like airsoft/painball stuff; they say MARPAT tops the lot in woodland patterns.
I seriously thought about giving a shot at the very popular green CADPAT, but I felt it was too dark for European countries while MARPAT is already doing good for Bosnia and Georgia. |

Thanks, Bean. Now I can finally replace the M82 and Styer AUG!
I just need a good "pewpew" effect and I can replace the Ram-bow with a Valkyria's lance. Which reminds me, having both AT and Mortar lances would help. (For the M72 LAW and M7... something Blooper.) |
