Thats a bit of a conundrum eh. Write a girl centric series with a girl centric? game so the girls attract the boys and then sell the card game IRL to ... the boys? Well, it could work. I do like card games, but I'm dog pondering this one atm.

And I dunno about you guys, but I watched Sailor Moon as a kid even though it was for girls. It was one of the only shows on in that period that had an on-going story, such as it was. Actually, wanting to have it to be a non-girly thing could be a good enough justification to have guys in this story. |

^ Same here (I watched Minky Momo too)
Though, gender distinction is more prevalent in Japan, thus the stigma as well. As said before, the game probably not even launched commercially yet in universe, meaning it's really closed circle for the time being and we won't know. Though once again, I'm fifty fifty about the chances of appearance of male character besides Zafira and that professor, I'll give it time, if the expectation is not fulfilled, then I quit.

He'll throw in more characters - especially FEMALE ones - because that's the marketing strategy. StrikerS was the beginning with the introduction of mature female casts, but they weren't enough. People were screaming for loli, so they threw in a truckload of them in Vivid. Then people found that StrikerS didn't have close to enough mature females and threw in more in Force. Then people wanted Innocent because they want to see Precia and Alicia naked and recast of the old cast in a new light. Oops I wasn't suppose to reveal that.

Yep, basically that, but well, since the main storyline is a big mess by this point i think this is not that bad of an idea xD
I wonder if the story will come full circly by the appearance of "Team Huckebein" being a group of Evil Duelists with broken Anti-Spell decks who steal rare cards xD Arnage: Let's take this duel to the SHADOW REALM HAHAHAHA xD!

The first chapter made me laugh. Alot.
And not because the dialogue is good - if anything, it's hamfisted, and clumsy. But it's so bad that it crosses into funny. Oh, and it'd be a matter of time before we'll see SAO and Nanoha crossover pictures, with the premise of Innocent. |

Fortunately, Signum doesn't seem to be a fighter in this verse nor a duelist renowed by her strenght so there's no plot impact in defeating her here xD
If the Huckebein will take part in this i expect Arnage, Stella and maybe Fifth to be the duelists of the team with the rest of the family as guides and supporters xD

I believe those "creature cards" are in fact spell cards, with the character who owns the spell performing it. So like say a true pure Signum deck will have Signum in all sorts of costume variants casting different spells.
There might be some penalty for running character spells different from your Character card. Or maybe something that a Character card would have that makes a player prefer having the same type as opposed to comboing with a variety of spells from different characters. Like a Yuuno/Nanoha deck focused on self-buffing into a gigantic one-shot Starlight Breaker, but would cost a ridiculous amount of resource to pull off. I rocked up to a Cardcaptor Sakura promo event in Singapore once, a long time ago. Half the attendees were male. Keroko's argument is invalid. Besides, I think male players just turn into Cinque Izumi or Gaul. Girls get prettier, guys get bishier. Its the Rule of Dog Days, and I don't see why I wouldn't carry over into Brave Duel. (This is how I wrote my INNOCENT oneshot teaser as well...)

Because half the attendees were male. Try going into a promo event that 90% of the attendee are female. === Edit: And Cardcaptor Sakura is a anime.... Anime Otaku would go and support such event But card game.... not so much (Just because they looked like anime character doesn't mean the picture on the cards looked like anime character!) Second Edit: Better comparison: Compare the game to Hello Kitty Online (yes it exist).
