I like the gundam ones the best! My sister and I are also gonna be copy catters and make a music video...but unlike these...michelle is gonna be dressed up as Yuki...and I may be Haruhi if my black hair dye stays. If it doesn't...then I am Hibiki Amawa...heh. Ok now no one call me a nerd yet....we are dressing as these characters for Onicon...and so we decided to do the dance for fun.

This is going to sound a bit ridiculous, but does anyone have any idea where they shot those live scenes of the road and buildings? It right when the lyrics go, "ashita mau au toki waruingara hamingu..."

Those look so close to the drawings I have to think they're based off those exact buildings! The only clue I have is that I think it has something to do with Kansai University students.

I only say this because I like it when anime is based off of real areas and have actually gone to visit a couple of those places.

I was informed that the fans have already pinpointed the place where the anime is based from. See post #139 & 140 here. I'm kinda curious which city the anime is based from as well.

After some browsing, I found this site where scenes from the anime are faithfully reproduced on photographs. I don't understand much Japanese, so if anyone can find out the name of the city from the site, please let us know.

Well, what do you know. You ask a question, it gets you a lead, and voila, we have an answer. I looked up "Japan Manholes" and found the general city. It would be in or around Nishinomiya. Hyogo-ken. See here.

The problem is now... How far to these manholes go and where the heck in that area???? Maybe it's near Kansai University, or is it itself?? I'm trying to look in the prior posts as to where it is though b/c they do mention about finding the library...
