Basing on recent love triangles:

In the case of White Album 2, the love triangle is like pure horror. I was more worried about what would happen to the three of them in the end rather than who gets who. Aaaand I was right to be worried.

In the case of Chihayafuru 2, it really just feels bad to be Taichi. He has the looks, the money, and the brains but Chihaya cares more about Karuta, Queen's Karuta and Arata and his Karuta. Poor Taichi, Karutablocked.

For the same reasons Kirarakim stated for Maison Ikkoku, I don't consider WA2 a love triangle either. At least so far.

About Chihayafuru instead I still have faith, I'm not buying yet the tragic hero role for Taichi
