Del Rey have just created a "page a day" mini-site for the manga (note, since it's rated at 16+ you need to give the month/year of your birth ).
School Rumble Since it's just the first day it only has the first page, by the looks of it they will release the first 30 pages leading up to the release of Volume 1 on the 28th Feb. |

...to drive Tani-sensei away?
It could just be that she does not want to get into a relationship for fear of what she has presumably gone through before. But she doesn't seem that interested in getting into a relationship any time soon. Edit: Yes! After making my first pilgrimage to the San Francisco Kinokunia, I finally feel I've gotten closer to manliness. *hugs his SR vol. 1-8. Only 44.00 $ plus tax. Yeah, I noticed that a couple days ago. So far it doesn't seem too bad, but there are some translations I disagree with. Most irritably of all: Love what a weird word!” What Tenma really says is 「好き なんてフシギな言葉」 The key here is the word "fushigi", which according to my dictionary means: "wonder; miracle; strange; mystery; marvel; curiosity;". I think 'weird' is poor choice of wording, and the exclamation mark added at the end makes her sound (to me) like some idiot ditzy blonde American high school girl (like, totally!). I know I'm being pedantic about this...but that's just how I am. And if you don't remember me, I translated SR manga until it became licensed. And yes, I miss it a lot. |

Disclaimer: Most of the blondes I know are just stupid and suffer from the effects of stupidity.
I agree with your opinion on how they translated "fushigi," but not so much on the ditzy blonde American high school girl part. I guess they're dumbing down her vocabulary in english? She never seemed the bright one, although if the other characters get gimped vocabulary, I'm sticking with imports. But yeah, I miss your translations ;_; (and the notes) |

yes! someone who misses my very verbose translator notes! You win a cookie. Here's a page out of nostalgia. Definitely the best translator note I ever made, and quite possibly one of the best notes in the history of scanslation.

Ah yes, the anal vampires. Scourge of Japanese women, children, and rainy days. Well, here's to hoping you find a series to fit your skills.
Now for chapter 165.. Spoiler:
On a side note, I don't think I've ever seen Karasuma in casual clothes before. We got his school clothes, gym clothes, and caveman clothes, but no casual stuff. I wonder what his closet looks like? |
