Well, it brought back an old character and mixed it up with an allegory about bread and circuses... but damn, but Veronica was cute when she hung around with her new friend, even if she was far bigger.

Also, Gavrill was cute when she was being quietly abashed. Nice to see she's got a heart to go with that fine figure and monstrous appetite.

Steve Jobs knows that whatever they churn out, people will buy it whether they are actual 'new' products or version 1000 of a previous model. So in essence, Apple is like a 'drug', and people are unsatiated. Saying SJ has the world around his little finger is not an exaggeration with their market capitalization already exceeding Microsoft.

So I guess this satire is the author's own interpretation of the matter. Perhaps he's an Android fan.

This is so unlike her to rely on the research of another for a cure... and is it just me or does she seem dopey in this chapter? Shouldn't she analyze the data before making that drug? Anyway, yeah this is so unlike Fran. And who the hell is that guy? All I can see is a play on the name "Steve Jobs".
