Alright, with the new season coming up I'd like to work on some projects. Preferably Canan, AIR, Ah! My Goddess or Sukisyo. I'd preferably like to work on Sukisyo. I can do some typesetting (finding and selecting fonts that will fit the series well), although my main job is Editing. All I ask is for a group member to send me the roughly translated script, and I will revise it once for spelling errors, secondly for rewording (I prefer not using direct-translations, but rather taking the general idea and re-wording the script to better suit the English translation.) and thirdly I check it once again to implement proper spelling, grammar and punctuation.
So yes, if any groups (big, small, or brand-new) would like to work on a good quality Sukisyo release, I am willing to help. At least give me a chance. PS: I was working with Anime-Trading's Mai-HiME but had to stall due to real life issues. That won't happen again. |

Future project for "Idol Densetsu Eriko"
I have some ideas for a project.
The series would be "Idol Densetsu Eriko". I'd like to know if there's anyone who could be the translator for this series. I would buy the japanese DVDs (I think there are, I haven't researched yet ) or accept VHS/LD raw (DVD voluntiers are accepted. ) And I'd do the rest - DVD ripping (if it's the case), image / sound syncro, subtitling / timing, write the credits - and the group would be named "Anime-PBR" or something. Technical characteristics: - avi (divx5, mp3, hardsub) - audio: japanese - subtitles: english All terms above are up to discussion, though. Time to fansub isn't an issue, but quality is. Unfortunately I don't have much experience with IRC or BT trackers. This project is greatly depended on getting a translator, otherwise there can't be a fansub. And it's such a good old series, with great music and soundtrack, it would be great if I could get this project off the ground. If anyone wishes to talk in private please feel free to use my e-mail: ramalho.pedro@mail.telepac.pt ----- EDIT ----- (23/12/2004) I found the japanese DVDs. They come in a set of 2 boxes of 5 discs each, without any subtitles, NTSC TV format, 28/29 episodes each (total of 51 eps). Unfortunately each box costs 250 dollars/euros, which is too expensive for me. It's a shame, because this version had the original film remastered (cleaned-up, I believe) and telecined again with new equipment. I guess this project would had to use VHS/LD raws, unless someone could come up with the DVDs... If anyone wants to check the shopping site, it's at http://www.cdjapan.co.jp.

RevQuest looking for Quality Checkers.
RevQuest is currently looking for Quality Checkers. We have no set limit of who can apply or can be accepted. We are very concerned on our quality, and run an average of 2 QC's per episode. We would like the QCer's to be able to do the following:
Notice: Misspelled Words (Tha dawg jumpted the fince.) Puncuation (commas, periods, capitals, elipse's etc.) Timing Errors (Bleeding subs, flashing subs etc.) And also, have a good idea about encoding errors. We would prefer people with experience, and who have fansub abilities, or knowledge. You will be recognized as a whole, not as an individual in the credits (RevQuest QC Team). Also you will need to use IRC, we can provide a guide (written by your's truly). Lastly, you must have a fairly good connection, sorry but no 56kers, we have a FTP for you to get the episode, so distrobution isn't a problem. You will need to write a quick report (on a txt file), and for each error you find, write the error and the time of the error. After your report, you then must upload it to the QC Folder on the FTP. If there is one or two things you lack above, we can probably manage, please contact me by PM (here), our website Forum: http://revquest-fansubs.com/forums/v....php?p=604#604 , my E-mail: chillaxinex3@hotmail.com , that is also my msn contact, feel free to add me (but please e-mail to notify), and on IRC (#RevQuest@irc.rizon.net) same name as on here. |

Position: Japanese to English Translator needed
Group: Arctic Knight Productions Project: Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon’s “Super Dance Lesson” Special. Contact: ak@arcticknight.com Website: http://www.arcticknight.com I'm considering working on a fansub project for Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon's short "Super Dance Lesson" special. I'm looking for a translator that would be able to translate the dialogue and on-screen text that is related to the songs. The songs themselves have already been translated so translation for that would not be necessary. That is about 80% of the work complete right there. If anyone is interested in helping me out on this project, please contact me. You would be making a lot of PGSM fans happy and you will no doubt be credited for your work if there is a fansub release. Thanks. |
