That's because you, like myself and most of the free world, had Mamoru Miyano or Jun Fukuyama in mind for the role. I gotta say the voice they did choose is growing on me, though.

Still unnerved by the lack of chibi. If they try to "serious" this series up, it will fail miserably, no matter how nice the animation or how fitting the voicework... I can only hope they're hiding it to keep the uninformed from getting the impression this is just another gag series...

I like Shimono Hiro's voice, so I'm cool with it. In fact I imagined his voice when reading the manga and it seemed a bit more appropriate than Fukuyama Jun's Lulu voice because Keima looks younger and less mature (Admittedly I did think of FukuJun and Miyano originally as well). I'm getting more and more hyped everytime the thread gets updated.

I don't think we have to worry about it being made more 'serious', but I can see them dropping a lot of the more, uh, unique art shifts the manga goes through.

I do hope they don't remove the chibis entirely, though.

According to kaminomi twitter the background music in the trailer is from the OP theme.
You don't need to worry for the less chibi, because in the blogs that report the advance screening said that they keep the deformed style in the anime.

Episode 17 is the bug chapter.. either going to have some original material or be combined with chp 6 maybe? Hmm first four episodes covers 2 of the girls shown in trailer 2 and leaves Kanon, Kusunogi, Shiori, Jun, Chihiro and Tsukiyo. You also have to introduce Hakua..

The animation is making in love

awesome graphics that I'm utterly speechless.
The waiting is worth it but still.... the voice....... the voice doesn't fit on the image of keima in my head but I would probably get used to it when it starts.

but when Shimono Hiro said keima's words for " I can already see the ending "..... well I still think I can grow to like his voice but really.... let's leave it like that.

Is it just me who liked Hiro's voice from the start?... I guess it's because I never really focus on male seiyuus, except Kamiya Hiroshi and Sakurai Takahiro.

Plus, Fuck yes for Asuka Sora getting full one episode.

IIRC weren't chibi faces on the character design sheets from a while back? I could have sworn I at least saw chibi-Keima... if that's the case I'd imagine they're definitely including chibis.

Someone already put this on wiki, but I'll post about it here. Seiyu for Nikaido-sensei is Tanaka Atsuko and Katsuragi Mari is Yuzuki Ryoka (infamous for the incident where she almost attacked a male seiyu she like because of jealousy in Utawarerumono Radio show)

Ryoka is the voice of Eruruw in Utawarerumono and Arcuied Brunestud in Melty Blood, whereas Tanaka voice Kyrie Ushiromiya in Umineko and Caster in Fate/Stay Night.

Among other roles, of course.

Btw, the manga has been great recently, so much that i doubt if the anime can display much of Keima's awesomeness. Still i have to hope...

Wow... Chara design is too amazing. Drawing is extremely detailed and clean. In terms of artistic aspect, this one is the best I've seen, right next to Star Driver this season.
