Nowadays It isn't. Although when FMA Brotherhood aired the rating reach to the 4-5%.But after Sengoku Basara two aired.The rating began to reduce more and more.

But 1.2% for Star driver is a bit...

For Bakuman.When you see the current situation that it was on air at the same timeslot with Detective Conan.(Different Channel. It seems.). 2.5% looks rather well for the start anyway.

Actually, that was before they moved the entire slot from Saturday to Sunday. Might have something to do with it.

The Sunday timeslot is indeed slightly "worse" than the Saturday one. With that said, we've already seen 4 shows air on Nichigo (= Sunday 5pm), and they always did better than this:

Code Geass R2 -------------------- Average: 2.67%, Highest: 4.0%, Lowest: 1.4%
Gundam 00 2nd Season ------------- Average: 4.47%, Highest: 6.3%, Lowest: 3.0%
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood - Average: 3.48%, Highest: 5.8%, Lowest: 1.6%
Sengoku Basara Two --------------- Average: 2.23%, Highest: 5.3%, Lowest: 1.4%

Obviously, the previous series were all already established franchises, though. Star Driver is the first original series on Nichigo, a risk the producers had to take eventually... it couldn't have started worse, sadly. Let's now wait & see how episode 2 fared - it felt a lot like episode 1, in any case...

Ah, and also, has the format of the new Geass series been decided yet? This is mere speculation on my part, but it'd make so much sense for it to replace Star Driver in spring 11 if it were to be a TV series...

Sunday 5pm is not when people are at home watching anime...

Star Driver was #4 on the most recorded shows last week.
Code Geass was #2. #1 was the drama on before Code Geass.

One of Geass' highest episodes was theorized to be due to the news being on after it on the day of the Akiba slashings.

Alot of recent animes go on a week off break to fill in timeslots it probably explains Shiki's ratings. The fact that it recently started coming back, and people having no knowledge of it being back up was probably the issue. I thought Shinryaku Ika Musume would get a larger rating then what it has now as well...

The same reason Otome Youkai Zakuro, Tegami Bachi Reverse, and now Ika Musume aren't: because no one on 2ch has been posting the late-night TV Tokyo ratings. In the past these shows usually were updated, these past few seasons they've been showing up much more sporadically...

... is what I was going to say, until I refreshed the 2ch thread. For some reason most of these shows are available this week. I seriously don't get it, but hey, the previous post has been updated!
