Literally it would be like "Eternal Vacation" or something but the meaning is closer to something like "Eternal Peace", like what people would say about killing themselves maybe...

Over 20 pages have already been released though. This chapter is pretty damn epic, and sets the stage for a total game changer in chapter 100.

Well, it's 30 min till the street date in Japan, so I'll go ahead.

Spoiler for For Chapter 99:

Ling side:

The Old Man Fu and Wrath fights as Buccaneer takes a backseat with the sword still stuck in his stomach.
If he pulls the sword out, he'll die from bleeding.

Wrath hits the sword out of Fu's hands with his daggers, then throws the dagger at Fu.
Fu catches the dagger, and Wrath catches the sword. Their weapons are swapped now.

Fu's cut all over his body and losing blood.
Ling steps in to help him, but Fu tells Greed to harden his body and protect Ling.
Greed obliges, and Ling cannot move anymore.
He asks Ling for a leave from his job... eternally.
Then he rushes at Wrath with dynamites strapped around his waist, and grabs him.
But Wrath casually cuts off all the fuses from the dynamite, and cuts Fu's stomach wide open.

As Fu is dying, Buccaneer takes the sword from his stomach and stabs Fu and Wrath.
He tells Wrath Even if you have the Eyes of the God, you can't stop attacks you can't see, no?
He attacked from behind Fu's body, so Wrath couldn't see it coming. He stabbed right through Fu,
so the sword reaches Wrath and cuts him in the belly.
Buccaneer tells Fu Hey, I'll accompany you in your journey to hell.

As Fu and Buccaneer fell, LingGreed, with tears flowing, attacks Wrath and snaps his sword.
It's hard to tell, but he may have injured Wrath's left eye in the process.
Ranfan arrives at the scene, and sees her fallen grandfather.


Ed side:
The doctor with the golden tooth summons a dozen or so supersoldiers.
They come down from the ceiling, and attack Ed, Roy, Liz, and Scar.
These soldiers are "failure" of the Bradley project.
The ones who couldn't become Wrath, 60 years ago.
They're not as powerful as Wrath, but they have 60 years of fighting training and are all formidable soldiers.

As Ed and others are struggling against them, the Dr Goldtooth activates a alchemy circle.
He tells them the five laboratories around the central are all actually connected in underground...
forming a large alchemy circle. So the positioning of these labs were part of the plan.

Al is running through the Central city, looking for the passage way into the underground.

Izumi is telling General Armstrong that she has a really bad feeling about this, and better get going now.
Olivia replies then we will part our ways now, I must stay here and fight.
They shake hands in friendship... but just as they were, The Eye of the "Truth" appears under her, and the arms of Truth reaches out and grabs Izumi, sucking her into the Eye.

Same thing is happening to Ed and Al.
Eventually Ed, Al, and Izumi are all sucked into the Eye of Truth.
The Wrath "failure" soldiers are also taken apart and seemingly sucked into the Eye.

This is where the chapter ends.

Fu is most likely dead, and Buccaneer is dying also.

Ironically since I just bought Volume 13 (so I now own 8-19) I was wondering what happened to the Fuhrer canidates that didn't have the Philosopher's Stone injected in them. Glad Arakawa remembers such details, and answers them. Man those guys are badass, Scar couldn't even touch them.

One thing bothers me with those failed Führer experiments : they didn't age??? They seem as young as when they were experimented upon, yet they should all be around sixty years old, like the 12th.

Yeah they did age, they look about as old as Bradley does.

No it's not the final chapter, there's probably going to be about 103~106 chapters.
