Long Anime?

I'm looking for a popular anime such as:

Bleach
Naruto Shippuuden
One Piece

Something long and interesting.

Any suggestions?

EDIT: By Long Anime, I mean 100+ episodes'

Any animes you re-watched because they were so good?

There are several long and extremely popular Shoujo titles (such as Yawara!), would you be interested in these titles, or are you only interested in Shounen titles.

Hunter x Hunter - a great series by the creator of Yu Yu Hakushou. This anime has some great action, some amazing training episodes, and some really good villians (trust me they can be uber evil, but still badass cool). Everything great about Naruto, without the overly emotional leads, can be found in this series. Highly recommend.

Popular and long well there's Rurouni Kenshin and Yu Yu Hakusho, but i would highly recommend Monster excellent psychological thriller, (74 episodes long)

I liked InuYasha, Yu Yu Hakusho, and Rurouni Kenshin (up until episode 62), so you might want to give those a try.

If you're really bored, you might want to give Cardcaptor Sakura a try also.

I'd say 52 episodes is probably the limit. I liked full metal alchemist, and heard many good things about Hayate no Gotoku, but bleach and naruto are disappointing now, and Inuyasha was repetitive and inconclusive (I mean, if you're going to make a 167 episode series, atleast give it a proper ending, sheesh).

I've heard good things about Monster and a few other long anime series though, so there's probably a few good ones out there.

Eh, Hayate the Combat Butler isn't similar to any of the things mentioned at all. It's a gag/parody romantic comedy while most of these are action series, a psychological thriller/mystery, and a moe magical girl series .
I still think it's good though, even though it's also not really popular at all. If you asked anyone who watches fansubbed anime outside of this forum, I doubt you'd find more than one out of a couple thousand people who recognise Hayate.

Fullmetal Alchemist is a popular one, though. I'm not particularly fond of it, but it was pretty good in general, so I can recommend it here.

You've probably already seen Death Note, but I'll throw it out there anyway. Great series.

By "long" anime you mean anime with at LEAST 50 or above episode counts, right?

At any rate, here are my suggestions:

Blood+
The Law of Ueki
Eureka Seven
Prince of Tennis
Hajime no Ippo
Hikaru no Go

And still ongoing after 75 episodes is D. Gray-Man

Yes, I have seen Death note, really unique/interesting anime. (Probably the best anime out there)

Well, Hayate is almost halfway there, and still going, as is Angel Heart, though that anime took a revoltingly bad nosedive in quality at about episode 44.

Aside from Pokemon, Bleach, and Naruto, I can't really think of another anime as long as 100 episodes...

Hayate will stop at 52.

Sgt. Frog has around 200 episodes, and it's a comedy of some sort popular enough to be referenced in Lucky Star and some SHAFT works.
Gintama has almost 100 (I think high 90's) and is still airing. It's a comedy, but I think there's some action.
Katekyō Hitman Reborn has 70-something episodes and is still continuing, I think it's comedy/action.
D. Gray-man also has 70-something episodes and is still continuing. I think it's more action and such, too.

Generally, anime doesn't continue for much longer than 52 episodes due to budget restraints and quality.

Ah, Galaxy Angel has 100-something episodes including specials and such, but it really had a lot less, since most of the episodes were half length. It's a pretty obscure sci-fi comedy, and it has a continuation, but I'm not sure how it is.

Ranma 1/2... over 161 episodes with 12 ovas and 2 movies.

City Hunter... over 100+ tv, specials, ovas, movies, and there's also a spinoff of it "Angel Heart" (50 eps with the same characters from City Hunter).

Ranma 1/2's pretty old, if you like newer anime.
Rewatched Air twice and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya thrice.

I second Hunter x Hunter! a delightful anime tracing the journey of a boy and his companions to the world of Hunters. Like some people, I also agree that it's much better than Naruto.
