Here is what I remember:

Its older animation that fits in with 80s style
Takes place in space on a large space station orbiting a star
There is a super computer that controls the station and the human occupants
These humans have special powers

At some point some the humans rebell against the staion
The super computer destablizes the station's orbit and sends it toward the star
The main hero creates a barrier around the station to blockout the heat

In the process most of the station is destroyed except the central portion
The other people that are rebelling figure out that they can't get out of the stars gravity well
So they use their special powers to push the station into the star faster in an attempt to pass through and come out the otherside (as long as the main hero can hold the barrier)

During this process the female companion goes to seal a breach in the barrier and is wounded
In the epilogue the hero who apparently liked the girl goes to see her in the hospital
However she doesn't remember him as her memories were erased by the medics taking care of her.

If anyone can identify this movie I'd appreciate it. Not knowing it driving me up the wall.

I can't remember the name of an old anime I used to watch on VHS when I was little. I can only recall one scene when a SWAT team storms the shop where a woman cyborg malfunctions and basically goes on a killing spree, having murdered all the customers and killing one cop in the process (she also laughs hysterically all the time), who tried restraining her with something that looked like a fishing line, but she smashed his face through a car window. Eventually they put her down and some old guy comes by, crying over what was left of, apparently, his android. The next scene takes place in a bar, if I'm not wrong. Also, one of the main characters is definitely a female cop.

It was a pretty bloody anime. I want to watch it again out of pure nostalgia, it just blew my mind when I first watched it, which was like 15 years ago. Can't be sure whether it was a series or a movie.

Actually it's A.D. Police. God, I was just lucky browsing anidb cyborg category and stumble on it. Thanks for your help though, risingstar3110.

P.S. Hmm, interesting. I'm now reading that A.D. Police is a spin-off of Bubblegum Crisis. So you were almost right =)

Yeah you've got A.D Police Files, A.D Police: To Protect And Serve and Parasite Dolls.

Pretty sure the scene you mentioned was from Police Files, I don't have my external HDD at the moment so I can't check to be certain.

Police Files and Parasite Dolls was good, To Protect And Serve was alright but it was pretty low budget. Nothing more than a buddy cop show with some cyborg shenanighans mixed in.

The original Bubblegum Crisis is still my favourite. 2040's Nene really got on my nerves but in the original she was my favourite Knight Saber.

And I don't know why they axed Daley's homosexual tenancies in 2040, that bloke was hilarious. XD

There is this joke circling the net (non-English), and it has a scene from some anime described in it. I'm not sure if the anime is real but if it is, I want it. ^__^
The scene is: the protagonist and his childhood girlfriend use an old mailbox to exchange letters. They haven't seen each other for several years, and when he finally checks the box, there is a ton of letters and the top one says savemesavemesaveme.
