Sky Raker
Great episode. I guess we now know why KYH chose Haru. At the same time, we get to see the former member of Nega Nebulous. Although, I have to agree that Sky Raker was insane at the time she asked KYH to cut off her legs considering her real self. You got wonder how far will people consider Accel World their reality esp. those who are disabled or traumatized. Haru finally have a melee weapon through the incarnate system. Generic but it's better than punching bare handed. |

2th...
3th... Secoth... Thirth... Su~~rrea~~l~~... What was it...? Been a long time. "Red Bull! gives you wings"? That's what the two need right now. The pig should switch to the new girl. Cuter, VA is more skilled, and slightly healthier personality (just hope she doesn't try to fly in some dangerous way).

Who knew Ash would be willing to help him out.
Sky Raker gave him the brutal truth about his wings. Looks like Nomi took more from Haru than just his wings. Incarnate system seems like something that could make him fly even without wings. Didn't know Silver Crow had a mouth.... interesting. Silver Crow in training LOL if being pushed off a cliff could be considered that. So... if you imagine it, you can do it. Haru learned something valuable this time. Nice episode without that annoying Nomi.

There was just too much awesome in this episode!
Finally, Haru learns a new move that will help him in battles. I wonder what the new armament is? If it will truly help him fly, then we should be in for a treat: an air to air combat showdown. Sky Raker is really awesome as well. Yay for more harem... I mean more members for Nega Nebulous. I can't wait for her to join up. A level 8 player, so she must be really, really awesome. I wonder how jealous KYH will be with her, if she knew how much time Sky Raker spent with Silver Crow? Also, does that mean Ash Roller might follow his parent and join up with Nega Nebulous at some point as well? BTW, an Ash Roller sig was created in the Sig and Avatar thread for anyone who wants it.

Good episode, though I have to wonder where Sky Raker got her dress and wheel chair, did she built it herself? She also gave Silver Crow bread everyday, did she bake it or it there some NPC shop around the corner?
Ash Roller gets the MVP award, there was more censorship in the last few episodes than I have seen in a year

Great episode
Silver Crow learned about the Accelerated World's "truth". We even get to see Sky Raker without her hat and dress. (that sounds perverted ) And Sky's real self showed that she has a "charm" similar to Kuroyukihime's Just finished watching and I'm already looking forward to next week's ep

Oh Haru...a fat little piggy that somehow manages to attract cute girls. Props to him.
Sky Raker easily reached the top of my favourite AW girl list. Though KYH is still champ. And sadly...next episode I fear is when the most rage will ensue... Last edited by Randrak42; 2012-07-27 at 17:32. |

I'm really impressed that they spent a full episode on this. It was the perfect time to "Get away from it all", and watch a solid episode of Haru learning more about Accel World and trying to bounce back from new lows.
After the episode ended, I was amazed by the realization that the only characters to appear in this episode were Silver Crow, Sky Raker, and Ash Roller. And yet, I was thoroughly engrossed throughout the entire episode. It's great to see Accel World let its world and characters truly breath a bit, and grow. Certain anime shows... *cough!*SAO*cough, cough!*... could learn a thing or two from this episode of Accel World. Sky Raker is a wonderful character. So soothing and relaxing, both in Accel World and as her real world self. I hope we get some follow-up on the falling-out that happened between her and KYH. 9/10 for Accel World Episode 16.

This.
This is Accel World's strongest episode by a mile. This is one of the best training episodes I've seen in a very long time. The Incarnate system is one of the most plausible explanation of Shounen Powerups - in a world where "Over-ride" is possible with sufficient willpower, Heart and Imagination can transcend supposed "reality." No wonder the Accel World is so, so seductive, since Heart and Imagination does not necessarily guarantee results in the real world. In time, I'd suspect Haru could go from just Bladed arms, to Auto Cannons and Laser emitters. Imagine strafing your poor opponents from the Air. What should I laud on next? Sky Raker. In just one Episode, the directors have made us connect to her. Right on the spot. It took me four or five episodes to connect to KYH. Sky Raker took just ONE, and I'm sold on her. This is how you do a strong, mentor female character without making her a sue, making her feel human, with human flaws yet worthy of being a teacher. And Haru more than redeemed himself this episode, while still somehow remaining in character. Haru's a sharp guy, he caught on fast to the purpose of his training, he realized what he had to do. And you know what? It felt completely, astoundingly, perfectly in character. You have a talented, sharp man who unfortunately is flawed, socially awkward and lacks a certain degree of self-esteem. After the rage fest of Noumi... this is an oasis in a desert oozing with hate and grimness. And now, Haru heads back out to the desert, after healing, learning and growing and refreshing himself in Sky-raker's Oasis, in a very plausible and believable manner. Spoiler for Kawahara is in Top form, Comparisons and Musings on his other works and Sky-Rakers Arc:
10/10. I think this is the first time I gave this score to an Accel World Episode. Easily the most emotionally impactful and strongest Accel World episode yet. MORE Sky Raker. She's an awesome character. Last edited by novalysis; 2012-07-27 at 21:43. |

i think the reason Kuroyukihime did not teach Haru the incarnate system is because she is afraid that Haru might become obsessed like Sky Raker
good episode, so in simple terms that Incarnate System is just will power to override reality (of accel world) |

sky raker covering her body with blanket look so wrong (i sense "ryusei" doujin here if you know what i mean )
overall nice episode, haru finally man up (again) and lets hope its not going down again anytime soon. incarnate system remind me to the lambda driver from full metal panic series even the concept is totally similar, if someone throw a rock to you, as long you strongly believe that the rock wont hit you, it wont hit you (deflect, barrier, etc), but a slightest doubt and its pretty much system failure. so it seem sky raker in real life also lost her leg and just for fun, the rocky training theme song should be played when haru climbing the tower and punching the tower to hone his incarnate system (it fit so damn well it ridicilous ) |
