She is using the account of a GM that is considered a goddess in that world. If she ativates the incarnation of the sword giving her super op magic, I guess there is no need for her to use the sword itself.

Just a thought here about SAO Progressive. Do you think the Black Cats and Saachi will still happen, in light of Progressive? From what I understand, Kirito and Asuna are already travelling companions in Progressive, and would remain so for several floors. Which means that something must end their partnership, so that Kirito ends up joining up the Black Cats, and Asuna is in no position to help Kirito in his semi suicidal phase that followed Saachi's death.

If Progressive gets that far, it'll probably just go in more detail about what happened.
If anything ended their partnership, it was probably from right before the 25th floor, or so. Right after, the KoB made their debut, and then some time after that, Kirito joined the Black Cats.

I guess we'll find out in 20 years.

yeah most likely their partnership "ended"(more like it was put on hold), when Asuna joined a guild.

And the reason I think that only Asuna joined the guild that time might be an unexpected event in which Asuna shined and Kirito was in trouble or hid his true abilities. Because if they saw it then what Kirito can do they would have invited him also. So my guess is that, at a boss fight around floor 15-25 something happened. Maybe it was even mentioned in the novels, (I will do a little research about it).

Don't think the novels have pointed at anything that might have split them up.
Remember; before Progressive, the canon was that Kirito and Asuna didn't talk very much until some time before the Murder Case story—and during that side-story was supposed to be the first time they ever partied together.

If you have read all the volumes for Progressive (including the Baracolle one) it's reiterated that it's a temporary partnership mostly so that she can reach the potential he sees in her.

Kirito's "revival/awakening" is going to be in volume 17, more than likely. So I'm predicting the name of volume 17 to be Alicization Reviving, or Alicization Awakening. Only gotta wait a year to see if I'm right! -_-
