What? In the future they wouldn't have such clunky wires to insinuate sexual connections, it's gonna be wireless!

Anyhow, Kuroyukihime is hot, and the introduction wasn't shabby with introducing the world, so it did its job as a opener.

People are just too used to the MC being a bishonen to so readily accept someone to actually LOOK the part rather than just the story saying he is. It's almost always the minor side characters (best friends and such, outside of ones that matter) that tend to look the parts, just to make the MC look that much better.

Being a bishonen makes viewers more comfortable with the MC while being eye-candy for female viewers and making shipping a lot easier, lol.

^You clearly have no idea what bishonen is. None of the current airing anime series, except the shonen-ai ones, have bishonen in them. What we expect from anime is your typical looking guy, that definitely ain't bishonen. What we don't expect is a deformed ball that hardly looks like a human.

And his design is probably to response to the typical otaku japanese fans anyway. Main MC like that make them more comfortable than some cool, hot, super hero dude or something.

Who care what he look like as long as the anime is good? Beside am I the only one that find him cute....He look like the meat bun type that you want to hug...:P

Meh...that seems to be a euphemism for "fat" to me, because people don't want to seem crude. Other than his head being slightly out of proportion, he looks normal for someone who is overweight.

And assuming that's right, what would people consider normal? Typical anime characters don't reflect reality either; their eyes are way too big, a lot of girl's body parts are exaggerated

All kidding aside, besides the size of the head, I have friends that look like Haru to a T. Same height, waist...you get the idea.

Its more being consistent with tbe art style than being consistent with reality. For me an example of a character being short and pudgy but consistent art-wise would be Tsutomu from Chihayafuru. And if Taichi wasn't such a great character, I wouldn't mind him being the main character along with Kana.

Now can we please stop with the internet psychiatry? Its starting to get ridiculous.

You can't hack a cable, you can however hack a wireless signal.
Using the cable to connect between one another doesn't insinuate sexual connections, just lots of trust between people. Basically you're completely open when connected through the cable, that person can search EVERYTHING about you and install whatever they want directly into you.

Yea, but it looks crappy. It looks like a modern usb connector instead of FUTURE fiber optics or w/e given the nature of the series. After all, new and hip stuff goes for convenience and stuff.

This pilot episode appealed to me in every way I can think of. Very excited but also dubious about this series. The end of the first episode left on a very strange note I did not like the look of - hope it's not a sign of things to come.
