Yep, definitely have the 12 Kingdoms vibe with this one. Surely not as dark in the beginning, but I'm glad that it's now starting to branch out on more than just Shiroe/Debauchery Tea Party/that other guild loli they had to rescue was in. The potential for storytelling is IMMENSE, and I'm glad they at least touched on the twins as the author is tapping into the potential with this.

But that what they doing all along, Shiroe has plenty of knowledge about people of the land so it's clear he approched them in the past and we know he did plenty of experiments along the way. It doesn't realy metter whether he loiter around Akiba or travel to the different region, they can collect information anywhere.

I am guessing Shiroe will play a pivotal in uniting the Akihabara players. The question is how can you convince the top guilds to cooperate with one another especially those who have deep enmity with each other? Whether he does before the rescue of the twins or after is still unknown.

Its already been shown, in the light novel thread of this there is a summary of most of volume 2 which shows what shiroe does. Also yes, he does play a pivotal role and he does unite the guilds.
Is serara going to become a side character with little to no screen time after her arc is over, because i like her cuteness. |

Just by exploring the world and testing their abilities, they're doing physics experiments. Gravity works, for instance.

Indeed, the entire first episode was dedicated to experimenting. This continued even later, such as when Shirou fell of a bridge and noted that the fall didn't hurt nearly as much as it should have, or how cold-resistance gear actually resists cold.

Yes, but does it work in the same way as it does in our world? They may make a few observations as they're busy adventuring, but they're not very systematic about finding things out. It's like Nyanta and Shiroe said: they're still thinking of it as a game. They're, at best, trying to figure out the rules of the game.

Sounds more like you're disappointed they're not handling it the exact way you would like to see. Point is, they are experimenting. Continuously. Every episode so far has featured some form of experiment.
I'm having trouble believing that the priorities of someone trapped in the LH situation would be to try and systematically test whether gravity would work the same as in our world. Given the enormous amount of changes, observations are the main method people would use to explore the world. Details can wait until you get your bearings. |

Shiroe is more adaptive and observant than the average, and thinks outside of box. Well, that's why he's the protagonist and not *Randomshmuckenchanternumber12994*

They had other priorities. That's fine. I can agree with that. I'd have put rescuing Serara or securing a place to live ahead of my curiosity too. But the result is that they haven't been as inquisitive as you've described. |

One problem with this anime is that there is quite a long wait before it gets to the really good part, while it is usually a requirement for an anime to grab the audiences' attention in 3 eps, and too much explainations would be boring to some. So we got some extra battles and some rearrangements swaying from the original novel here and there, and I think the arrangement itself is quite good. The animation quality and presentation of battles can be better, but I would consider that as a budget issue. |

West Wind Brigade is Souji's side story right? I first read/saw it at the net. Is it a net manga or is it a printed manga? the raws for the side story are sadly hard to find. I haven't even saw one except for the main series vol 1.
