Really like the little story telling episodes...
Too bad little kitty had to go bye bye... Character Development... Good... the little shy one is so cute... especially with the little kitty... what the heck is she going to feed her to get it the size in the op Story... Good... not really development... looked more like fillers to me... but still good story Action... Good... Go Go AxeGuy Overall - Good - first ep was better

I gave it a higher mark though I have mixed feelings.... Nuwangi was really pretty shallow as a character though its not like we don't see people like that in real life. If anything, we got more ambiguity about what Hakuoro thinks of Eruruu, though Eruruu's feelings were quite clear (unintentionally) as she argued with Nuwangi.
I'm not quite sure why they wasted money on that fur shot at the end of ep 1 ... the rest of the tiger animation was pretty low budget. I did like that the situation was pretty brutal --- we wonders if that whole other village was slaughtered or just the menfolk and then what happened to the women and children. edit: I guess Aruruu will feed the kitty a HELL OF A LOT of honeycombs

aruruu seems to know something about mutikapa. but oh well, it looks like they didn't mention it. but for the looks of it, that mutikapa is just protecting her baby. also, that's kinda funny, using an iron tessen to block a kitty

OK, to all those who like raph's late bumbumbumping reviews.
After renting the DVD (ahem... is it out already? ) I finally watched that ep.2, and gave it 8, just like I did with the previous one. Still some mysteries to be solved and I guess that's all the point. Sure, animation is not perfect, but I like the sets, and the voices. Then the story: Well, the fact is at this point, No one could really tell what the series is going to be like. A mix between Mononoke and Hokuto no Ken? lol Or between Lassie and Daddy long legs? heehee So let's cut out the speculations for now. What I really wanted to say is that I don't think this anime is violent. I mean there is quite a emphasis on human blood, but not on violent acts or actions. Spoiler for ep.2:
So it's all good to me. Measured and "mastered" violence. Between Tarantino and John Carpenter. Then Eruruu is cute, indeed. How could I ask for more? So see you all at ep.3 thread. ^^
