Randomness... and yes, it's K-On related:

Whitman campaign typo underscores the dangers of tweeting

Click on the link mentioned in the news article... and bring your brain bleach. Preferably several gallons of it.

*shoots brain instead*

Saw that earlier and I laughed my ass off.

Unfortunately, a lot of people are gonna develop an even worse impression of anime

It's also a shame that people would be discovering hjfreaks for this and not his other amazing bass works.

Hmm what would Mr Kakifry (the author) do next, if anything? One hopes the fanbase will remain not just loyal to Afterschool Teatime but to him also, and give whatever Yui-chan free adventures he comes up with next a chance.

In any case, the success of K-On! is going to be one tough act to follow.

Though if he's got even a small share of the ocean of money made with his franchise, he'd probably already be retired now.

The best way to sum up my feelings of towards this video is Haruhi-chan, Yuki-chan, Mikuru-chan and Kyon's reaction:

Except that Itsuki actually is kinda sexy.

Was rewatching the first season, and saw Sogabe-senpai during that "shimapan" moment.

Guess it's moments like this that makes it worthwhile to rewatch.

(I know this is the second season thread but I'm too lazy to find the one for season one. )

The series is an absolute gem. I think it captures "slice of life" high school nostalgia better than anything that's come before it. Amazing. I'm really happy to have watched this.

Can't say I'm surprised.

The first event was a smashing success, and given that we got more songs now, it's only natural they're doing this all over again.

And wanna bet that we'll see an official confirmation on when the movie will be released in theaters somewhere during the live gig? Or that they'll surprise us in some other way?

Lol, Season 3 announcement?

Jokes aside, yeah they'll probably announce the release date for the movie during the live event.

Announcement about the movie... I don't know, for some reason I want it but I also don't want it. ^^; (I don't want K-ON! to end fast, lol)

Anyway, we should expect further announcement on November

About the performance... hmm... I wonder if the concert would last longer or maybe split into 2 days? because they have more songs compared to s1.

Yeah, the only problem I have after the recent album is that there are so many songs that I want to see performed live...

But it can't go wrong if they let Aki Toyosaki be the MC

Welcome to Animesuki, then Hopefully we can have a nice discussion around here

Hmm, youtube links... It should be okay on this thread, but I don't really know ^^; I think it might fit better in the VA Appreciation thread.

I guess it's best not to keep our hopes up
I think she might mean that she's going to play in another anime series. So that would be her "next series", not necessarily K-ON!.

seriously though, i don't want a 3rd season to happen.i'm afraid that the show might lose its shine bec. of a long run.and the movie seems to be enough to end the show on a high note.but if ever it's K-0N 3 and KYOANI pulls it off greatly, i say, I'd go for a 3rd.X3

Why the speculation on a third season when the movie hasn't even come out yet? Since they're coming out of the same studio, and that studio tends to do projects sequentially, and not in parallel; they're not going to even consider a third season until after they have the movie done. And they're not going to do the movie until their next production is finished.

Aki Toyosaki's remark is most likely about whatever show she's going to do next. Japanese VAs are (pretty much) paid peanuts for what they do. They're interchangeable cogs in a field where your career is typically all washed-up before you hit 30. So once one show is finished, they're already moving onto the next, and auditioning for the third.
