I would love to see another Sendo fight, but the problem is, at this point, Ippo it's impossible for Ippo to lose a match at least until world title fights. Because at this point, any lost from now to that point will only set the plot back to square one.
And I really believe that was one of the reason his fight with Miyata was scratched.

There's no way Sendo can convincingly beat Ippo in a real match at this point, so I don't expect to see them face each other ever again. I'd like to see him action, but what I really want to see is Ippo getting somewhere in his career. Enough grunt battles.

True. With all Ippo's upgrades the only thing we saw with Sendo is that his punches are alot stronger pinning Miyata on the trunbuckle with the spar and he's still has that endurance of his, but no real power up, much can be said the same for Volg.

yep, after the two fight, it's clear that Sendo is simply a slightly weaker version of Ippo. Both are power boxer, both excels in close and mid range slug-fest, Nothing more can be shown unless one of them is World Champion.
Quote:
I have to disagree with that, if anything, we don't have enough grunt battle. At this point Ippo needs some squash match to show his dominance because he hasn't had too many of those. (though not in the way this fight is). And if you are talking about fights with other Pacific Countries Champions, those are inevitable. The reason had already been explained, Miyata, who wolds the next tier belt, declined the match. This leaves Ippo without a way to advance his world ranking. But you are right on one thing. With Ippo disposing three Asian Champions, it's now time for him to challenge 1-5 world rankers...

i can see Takamura defending his belt or challenging for the super middleweight outside of japan and Ippo would go along.
that would be a good way for Ippo to meet a world ranker and fight them. though if he does get to Martinez he has to lose the first time. i think for Ippo it has to be a fight where he has to challange 2nd time. it's the right time for him to lose. then fighting Martinez again. he didn't get the rematch with Date but with Martinez it would be epic. while Ippo is doing that Miyata would get the other belt and they would have thair fight. which would give Itagaki a chance for Japanese Featherweight and the OPBF. would have loved to see Volg vs Mashiba. but Mashiba's now a Lightweight fighter.

Pretty much what kayote said.
A Miyata vs Ippo fight is honestly, by virtue of storytelling plot and destiny, something that will happen. A fight that will happen once they are both world champions of their respective weight classes.

I loled when Date was ignored because everybody was busy with their own business
I loled harder with Takamura's disguise.... But Kamogawa's face was priceless. PS: Emo Ippo was a dissapointment, but i can understand him.

Why are other fight chapters better now than Ippo's?
Is Ippo turning into John Cena? Anyways him doubting himself and saying it's not boxing is total bull. Good thing Takamura said it was his training that pushed him to that stage, just hoping he's not all emo in the next chapters.

i was going to drop this tittle had ippo not won easily.so now that he defended his tittle his next match should be against the winner of the tourny no? which means he is not going to do anything to futher his standing in the world or beat some champion from another country not looking forward to that but before that i may get a new aoki champion challenge wonder what new technique hell come up with.
