Wow, I never thought that Red 5 hold such deeper (joke) meaning . Not really Star Wars savvy but at least I like the original trilogy and Vader (anything about the prequels should be drown into the deepest trench).

The overall production values of this show are good and the plot so far of a last defense of Earth seems to be decent, but man the main cast (especially Tamaki) and their interactions are just dragging it down at this point for me. I don't understand why every single interaction between them (save for the one Kei and Toshi had last week that felt like the first real and not awkwardly comedic interaction between any of the core cast to date) seems to need to be the most predictable and typically goofy comedic sketch or some form of abstract moralizing. I'd almost call the cast and their interactions and dialogues too cliche and predictable at this point and kind of hard to get behind. Mundane might be a better way of putting it though.
What sucks too is the cast's IMO mundane interactions so far seem to be taking up a majority of the focus of the show and it's just not interesting enough for me now, especially since I find them kind of continually annoying save maybe for Kei. I'm sort of not surprised given that the series composer Reiko Yoshida is kind of becoming infamous to me for scripts that focus on a lot of IMO very mundane typical (for anime) day to day interactions between a core cast of 4-5 characters that I just rarely find funny or fascinating. Probably giving this a couple more episodes to pick up character development wise because to borrow a cliche I really want to like it as a fan of mecha, but not if it's just going to revolve mostly around the cast being vaguely retarded for the rest of the series. |

They have upgraded boosters/vernier thrusters (see Blue One's shoulder pauldrons/thruster blocks) and increased weaponry (glaringly obvious on Gold Four). The rest is merely cosmetic and pretty much unnoticeable.

Quite a melancholic episode, full of nostalgia for the Rabbits who are finally leaving the nest for full active service.

That was one boring episode, at least next episode we'll finally meet the Wulgaru which only took the first quarter of the series to do.
And no, Gundamx, we don't know for sure. Plus when are people going to figure out her real name is Theoria? Can we stop calling her Lacus? Please? |
