I wonder if she has any idea what she is dressed as.... she's certainly well-built but sometimes a cosplay fails for me when it becomes clear the person has been hired to wear a suit and hasn't done their homework.

I can't really make a judgement though, one way or the other since we can't tell from a static pose.

Not really a fan of skirts/pants pulled down to the pube-line at all though :P

And you might not be the only one who is missing it also. The chap who is barely in the photo (right-hand side and leaning to his left) looks to be... verifying its existence very carefully himself.

Given how low her skirt is riding on her hips, I'm wondering if she is already showing plumber's crack while standing.

Aw, c'mon guys, it's all in good fun, right? Who knows, she might actua.ly know what she's dressed up as and is just having a playful twist on it. And "attention whore" might be a little strong, since pretty much anyone who cosplays and goes to these events is hoping for a little attention to their style and presentation.

I agree with Marina, I am sure she knows who she is cosplaying and is developing her own style.

Although her skirt is a little low.

If her "own style" requires plumber's crack.... a little constructive input might be in order.

As far as costume design and mechanics, nothing to complain about other than everything looks off-the-rack except the ears. But that's from someone who appreciates custom work in a costume. However, she is definitely someone who spends time at the gym so that counts for a lot (as well as opens her options considerably on what else she could cosplay).

Her name is Jennifer Nigri, and she apparently knows her stuff and is a big japanophile. Her Rikku final fantasy costume was alot better though.

I read her interview and she seems to be a pretty awesome person.

a very early, unlabelled shoot of Ibara?

I'm going to go with yes. First, while Ibara's is not the only cross eyed cosplayer I've seen, the angle of her eyes in photo five is pretty much dead on with the angle of Ibara's eyes in photo three of De Die in Diem's shoot of Ibara as Nagi:

(Love the first photo in that set, BTW, it's an expression MPZero didn't get in his photos of that cosplay.)

Second, while it's extremely hard to find pictures of Ibara that show the little marks on her face, you can spot a few of them in this set of photos... and the ones that I was able to spot were in the same spots as in the 2006 shoot:

(Interesting demonstration of how much photoshopping goes into some of these shoots though... you can only spot the marks in a couple of MPZero's pictures. The facial marks comparison also convinced me it might be time to clean my LCD again - I had a few too many "wait there's one there too?" moments.)

I know I posted the Kan's Portfolio photos of Kipi as Shana earlier in the thread, but I'm going to repost them because they like nicely with the the previous discussion - they're some of the least shopped photos of Kipi I've seen. She looks pale.. I think it has something to do with the lighting but then again, it could always be photoshopping. It seemed almost as though she was a ghost of some sort..

Since I've been learning a bit of photography - mainly in order to improve my cosplay photos - I would like to point out that the shot looks like it is very highly exposed. In layman's terms, that's why it's "really really bright" - the photographer set his camera up to capture much more light than in a normal photo. Although I suspect there's some makeup and photoshop involved as well: even the most heavily exposed pictures I took at anime evolution, such as this intentionally overexposed EF pic (although I do wonder if I overdid it and wish the lighting on the model's face was more even) don't look like that. Although the fact that the lighting in my picture is mainly backlighting rather than falling on the model's face might have something to do with it too.

I mentioned a while back that I found it really hard to find good cosplays of Miyuki from Lucky Star. Well, here's two good Miyuki cosplays:

ZeroInch as Miyuki
Megumi Natsume as Miyuki

The second to last pic in the second set practically made my brain melt... but then again, Megumi Natsume in almost any costume will get a pretty good reaction from me.
