I think Yabuki himself loves her design just as much as he loves Eve/Yami's (I was surprised it took so long for her to make a cameo).

So, does anybody know if the anime follows the actual storyline from the light novels or if it's just all random fanservice?

Novel readers said the anime's a trainwreck so I assume the anime doesn't follow the novel.

From time to time, it kinda followed the manga, but majority of the time, it just gone off to its own medium.

75% of the anime can be considered random "omake" and completely unrelated to the novels. Parts of the first 3 episodes and bits of the last few episodes have something to do with the novels. The manga adaptation is also fairly tangential.

there are actually quite some hilarious bits, esp. in the resort inn/lost in mountain ep. That one's worth a watch, just squip the part when they start hitting the ball.

I did like the ping-pong match. I didn't *dislike* the omake.... it simply is the case that someone trying to find out about the *story* by watching the anime wasn't well-served. People interested in seeing an adaptation related to the novels weren't very well served. Mostly this served existing fans who'd already read the light novels and who wanted to see the characters doing outrageous comedy.

that's why it's a flop aswell, so i might go out and look for novel trans. Given there are any

we also get the requested Dragon Ball reference everybody's been so eagerly waiting for D:

Nope. Chapters will come out less often though (4 chapters a year, I assume they'll be a bit longer than the chapters we're getting now).
