I was pretty disappointed in the ending.

Beezy's reappearance seemed to be of the "deus-ex-machina" sort. Oh, he didn't die; he was just off eating cat shit. I was expecting an ending where Akutabe ends up fighting with the angel or God to get Beezy's grimoire back. This ending was, to put it mildly, rather "flat."

I suppose I.G is hoping to get another season produced, but couldn't we have had a better resolution to this one? This is one of those cases where deviating from the manga (assuming it has the same ending to this arc) would have made much more sense.

There was a lack of awesome Akutabe and would have been nice to get him doing something.

Altho Beelzebub going off to eat crap is in tone with the series, so not like it's totally out there.

Actually, he did die. Sakuma killed him with that spell. Thus he fell, along with the dog shit.

I absolutely loved that take on god lol. Most badass interpretation of god ever. And most badass god too.

The show was always about Sakuma anyway so I didn't mind lack of Akutabe at all. But it would have been interesting to see Sakuma's reaction to her killing of the shit-eating penguin. I guess there is definitely going to be a second season so we might see it there. But a short epilogue of the sort instead of the epilogue on the angel might have made this better of a standalone series. Oh well. The angel bit does set up another season pretty nicely so what gives.

Have you seen the 2nd OVA? Sakuma made Azazel explode and he patched himself back up later. The only way they can really 'die' would be to have their grimoires stolen or by the hands of Akutabe lol. Sakuma isn't going to kill Beelzebub just after she cried a river over his presumed death. The falling shit is just there for comedic purpose.

The 3rd OVA is already out. It features a new demon named Lucifer who seems to be the only demon not intimidated by Akutabe.....and he's a koala who eats marijuana leaves

BTW, the new OP also features other demons which means we might get see more soon.

The third part of the OVA covers chapter 37 and 38 of the manga. Lucifer doesn't show up again until ch. 79, that's where the 8th and most recent tankôbon ends. The opening also features small previews on the haemorrhoid-arc (ch. 53-56), the mangaka-arc (ch. 57-60) and the museum-arc (ch. 61-68).As the manga is still getting more and more vulgar, I don't think we're in for another TV series, but I'm rooting for a few more OVAs.

Well, it was until Saku summoned them both.
So just needed them to help pack stuff LOL
